James Bond? Are you there? We have South Korea on the line and they'd like to have a word. After the odds were stacked against them, all seven members of BTS hit the Grammys stage for a sultry spy thriller performance of their hit track, "Butter."

Opening the performance with an over the top, mission control sequence, Jungkook descended from the ceiling like a full-fledged spy. Then the camera cut all over the Las Vegas venue, revealing the group members scattered from table to table. The K-pop band soon after joined Jungkook on stage, launching into their signature tight choreo. It was fun. It was perfectly in sync. It was BTS, at their best.

The band is nominated for just one Grammy this year: Best pop duo/group performance for "Butter." (Last year, the group was nominated in the same category but lost to Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga for their cut, "Rain on Me.") Earlier this week, BTS's participation at the Grammys was uncertain. Jungkook tested positive for Covid-19 after landing in Las Vegas for rehearsals. J-Hope, who had been quarantining in South Korea following ahis own positive diagnosis, flew in days after to join the band in the U.S. for the performance. Fortunately, Jungkook recovered in time to join the rest of the group, who had not been exposed to either member who had tested positive.

As for how you perform at that level directly following a bout with Covid? Well, that's plain witchcraft. And if you were curious why Jin was over at the computers, hanging out away from the rest of the group? The guy was allegedly performing with a broken finger, per ARMY fans online. BTS continues to be a marvel and a half.
