Buckingham Palace tried to quickly and quietly correct an embarrassing error in their pregnancy announcement for Princess Beatrice, but that’s not so easy with the invention of screenshots. On Oct. 1, the Palace announced the exciting news via the royal family’s official social media accounts and made a significant typo on X (formerly Twitter).

In their original post (as seen in a screenshot from Hello!), the family congratulated Her Royal “Highess.”

Highess. Forgetting an “n” might seem like no big deal, but you’d think the royal family (or at least their social media managers) would have spelled “highness” enough times to get it right. Or that they would at least have spellcheck. King Charles III’s team was quick to repost, but honestly, the rare slip-up was pretty humanizing. I mean, we’ve all made a public typo that left us red-cheeked and floundering. Heck, I’ve probably made one here!

The corrected statement reads as follows:

“Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their second child together early in the new year; a sibling for Wolfie and Sienna. His Majesty The King has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”

Princess Beatrice and Mozzi welcomed their daughter Sienna in Sept. 2021 and just celebrated her birthday with a jaw-dropping cake. Mozzi is also the proud dad to 8-year-old Christopher “Wolfie” Woolf, and an insider previously told People that Princess Beatrice “embraced [Wolfie] as part of her life from the outset.”

“Beatrice is a wonderful and very hands-on stepmom,” the source said.

Mozzi’s ex-wife Dara Haung has also been outspoken about her view of co-parenting with a royal.

“Wolfie has had two sets of parents trying to help him on both sides, and I just think, ‘The more, the merrier,’” Huang told Harper’s Bazaar U.K. earlier this year. “I feel lucky to have such positive people around him, who really embrace him — because it didn’t have to be so easy.”

Though Princess Beatrice isn’t on social media, members of her family have publicly congratulated her after Buckingham Palace made (and corrected) the official announcement.

“Congratulations Beabea.. So looking forward to more on this journey of motherhood together. And adding another little one to the gang,” her sister Eugenie wrote on Instagram alongside throwback Christmas photos.

Meanwhile, her mom Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York posted a carousel that opened with a sweet shot of herself, Princess Beatrice, and Sienna. “A very proud GiGi/Mum today. Such an incredible blessing and an embrace to my heart. Wolfie, August, Ernie and Sienna will be over the moon to have the fifth member of the five aside! ??,” she said, referencing Princess Eugenie’s two sons.
