Camila Mendes Exits Sony’s ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ Reboot
EXCLUSIVE: Camila Mendes will no longer be starring in the Sony reboot of I Know What You Did Last Summer. We understand the Riverdale actress could not make the production dates work given her starring role in the upcoming mega Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films title Masters of the Universe in which she’ll play Teela.
As we previously reported, Mendes will headline Masters of the Universe opposite Nicholas Galitzine, who plays He-Man. Her character, Teela, is a warrior and the Captain of Eternia’s Royal Guard. She’s responsible for protecting the royal family, especially Prince Adam aka He-Man.

The first film produced by Honor Role, Griffin in Summer, made its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival back in early June.
Mendes also starred in and executive produced the Rudy Mancuso directed and co-written feature, Música, which made its world premiere at SXSW back in March.
The CAA, Luber Roklin Entertainment and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman, Newman, Warren, Richman, Rush, Kaller, Gellman, Meigs & Fox repped actress starred in 136 episodes of CW’s hit series Riverdale as Veronica Lodge.
Mendes starred in the feature film Do Revenge for Netflix, which ranked in the top 10 for the streamer across 93 countries. She also starred in Palm Springs, which Hulu and NEON acquired out of Sundance 2020 for a then record breaking $17M.
