Candace Cameron Bure Delights Fans With a Rare Peek of Husband Valeri in Throwback From Their Second Date

Candace Cameron Bure is looking back on her love story with husband Valerie Bure.
The Fuller House actress recently took to Instagram to answer some questions submitted by fans, including one who wanted to know how exactly she met Val.
Candace, 48, uploaded a throwback photo from when she was just 18 via her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, May 28, giving followers a peek at her second date with the man who would later become her husband.
In the sweet shot, an 18-year-old Candace with a short soft brunette haircut could be seen snuggling up to Val in what appeared to be a hockey locker room.
Val, a former hockey player from Moscow, Russia was holding a hockey stick in one hand while his other was wrapped tightly around Candace's waist. His hair was much longer then, with his blond locks reaching down past his ears and hanging in front of his face.
"This picture was our 2nd date—6 months after our first, taken in Fredericton, New Brunswick," she wrote alongside the vintage-looking snap from their early days as a couple. "We talked on the phone in between that time because we lived in different cities."
Candace also shared in the post that it was her Full House co-star Dave Coulier who introduced her to Val, 49, whom she first met at a charity hockey game in Los Angeles.
Dave, 64, would end up being responsible for setting up a lifelong relationship between Candace and Val, who tied the knot just a couple years later in 1996.
The two lovebirds later welcomed three children together, daughter Natasha, 25, and sons Lev, 24, and Maksim, 22.
