Captain America: Brave New World Trailer Pits Sam Wilson Against Red Hulk
Marvel Studios has released the first teaser for Captain America: Brave New World, which sees Anthony Mackie pick up the star-spangled shield. The teaser features shots from the first footage unveiled at CinemaCon earlier this year, along with new reveals.
The teaser starts with Sam being greeted by President Thaddeus 'Thunderbolt' Ross, now played by Harrison Ford. Ross proposes turning 'Captain America' into an official military position, though that plan is thrown into jeopardy when Sam is thrown into a new conspiracy.
Watch the trailer below.
Until now, the existence of Red Hulk was limited to Marvel merchandise, but as the last shot of the teaser shows, the brute is going to play a big role in the film. We also get to see an Incredible Hulk star appear in the film, with Tim Blake Nelson reprising the role of The Leader. Of course, his full appearance is being saved for the final film, though we can see how a drop of Hulk blood has altered his appearance.
We can't talk about a Captain America movie without mentioning Sam's new look. The trailer gives us a good look at Sam Wilson's fresh new suit, which still includes the Vibranium wings gifted to him at the end of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Sam is joined by Torres (Danny Ramirez) who picks up the mantle of The Falcon, and we also get some cool shots of Giancarlo Esposito's mystery villain in the film.
Marvel has also released the first teaser poster for the film, showing a Red Hulk hand holding Cap's shied, teasing a clash between the two.
