Cara Delevingne’s $7M LA home gutted by massive fire as she posts picture of her cats: ‘They are alive!’
A huge blaze ripped through the $7 million LA mansion of British model and actress Cara Delevingne early Friday morning — and at least one person was reportedly injured.
According to TMZ, a call came in at 3:52 a.m. reporting a fire at the massive property that had overtaken most of the mansion, located in Studio City.
Delevingne, 31, is in the UK and was not home at the time of the fire.
She’s been performing at the Playhouse Theatre in London as Sally Bowles in “Cabaret” and was photographed Thursday night out on the town.
Delevingne shared a photo of her two cats via Instagram Story on Friday, later clarifying that they both survived the blaze.
“My heart is broken today,” she captioned a photo of her pets. “I cannot believe it. Life can change in a blink of an eye. So cherish what you have.”
She continued: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the firefighters and people that have showed up to help. They are alive!! Thank you to the firefighters.”
An LAFD spokesperson told Page Six: “We have no reports of any animals being injured and once we did an extensive search of the property, we did not find any that were injured.”
A total of 94 firefighters from 13 different engine companies showed up to fight the blaze, which spread up into the attic and destroyed part of the roof, which collapsed, according to TMZ.
It took the firefighters over two hours to put the fire out.
It’s not known, at this point, where and how the fire started.
Four ambulances were also sent to the scene, according to the outlet.
One firefighter was injured falling off a ladder while trying to put the fire out, though the extent of his injuries are not known at this point — and one occupant who was in the home at the time of the blaze was treated for smoke inhalation.
Delevingne’s house, which she purchased in 2019, boasts four bedrooms and six bathrooms and is over 8,000 square feet.
It was featured in an Architectural Digest spread in 2021.
Delevingne previously owned a Hollywood home with her sister, actress and model Poppy Delevingne, that they purchased from actor Jared Leto — and then sold to Usher for $3.4 million in September 2022, according to the Daily Mail.
In 2022, she checked herself into rehab for substance abuse issues after photographers snapped her acting erratically in LA.
In an interview with Elle UK, she said that quitting alcohol made her “stable” and “calmer.”
Delevingne’s television credits include “American Horror Story: Delicate” (she played Nurse Ivy), “Only Murders in the Building” (Season 2), “Planet Sex With Cara Delevingne,” “Futurama,” “Carnival Row” and “Inside Amy Schumer.”
On the big screen, she’s co-starred in “Anna Karenina,” “The Face of an Angel,” “Paper Towns,” “Suicide Squad” and “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets,” among others.
