Cara Delevingne Fronts Miu Miu’s Fall 2024 Campaign, Talks Multitasking and Love of Accessories
MILAN — Cara Delevingne is an accessory girl and loves a pair of great sunnies.
Now she has an excuse for zhuzhing up her off-the-catwalk looks with Miu Miu pieces, as she leads the pack of talent fronting the brand’s fall 2024 ad campaign, lensed by Los Angeles-based photographer Zo? Ghertner.

“It was so much fun getting to shoot this campaign. I have always been a fan of Miu Miu’s aesthetic and have so much admiration for Mrs. [Miuccia] Prada, so to star in a campaign for her was a true honor,” Delevingne said in an email exchange. This marks the first time that she has appeared in the brand’s campaign.
Like other talents, Delevingne posed in front of the camera against a white backdrop and whirlpool carpeting, standing or sitting on chairs and stools. She donned a shearling coat mimicking mink layered on top of a pristine shirtdress or cropped trucker jacket and skinny jeans.
The candid quality of the portraits shows Delevingne’s more intimate traits, her natural expressions seen as a blunt display of her personality and individuality, the company said.
Other talents include Thai singer and actress Minnie, as well as British rapper and actress Little Simz, Canadian singer and songwriter Charlotte Cardin, and model Caitlin Soetendal, all newcomers to Miu Miu campaigns, in addition to American singer Ethel Cain.
In keeping with Miu Miu’s fall 2024 collection — for which Prada embraced a sweep of clothing archetypes from different stages of life, from the prim Peter Pan-collared coats of childhood to the uniforms and scrubs for work, the luncheon suits, pearl necklaces and fur jackets made of shearling — campaign imagery “invites each subject to be themselves, while using fashion for its protean qualities,” the company said.
The campaign also spotlights new accessories, including the Aventure tote bag, sported in a chocolate brown version by Delevingne to match her chunky lace-ups and the Joie horizontal shoulder bag with a ruched top closure, seen on Minnie in campaign images. The two new styles are both revamped archival designs.
“I’m all about an accessory — a hat, a necklace, a ring, a belt, a bag. I love them. It’s the easiest way to change your outfit from day to night without actually having to change your outfit,” Delevingne said.
The “Suicide Squad” star has just completed her run on stage as Sally Bowles in “Cabaret” on London’s West End, her first theater role. She recently traveled to the South of France to celebrate the summer season with Miu Miu. As reported, the Italian luxury brand transformed L’Ecrin Plage at the tip of Port Pierre Canto in Cannes into its Summer Club with a glamorous polish.
A 2010s fashion darling known for her unconventional and personality-driven modeling style, Delevingne has grown into a multitasker, dipping her toes into acting, as well as the music scene.
“I follow my gut. I don’t have any real rules around any of the categories. When an opportunity presents itself, I really evaluate whether it feels right to me and where I am right now in my life. And if it does, I’ll say yes. And if it doesn’t, I’ll say no,” Delevingne said. “In most cases, I think of every experience as something to grow from.”
The model and actress sees similarities between her different gigs.
“To me, in every aspect I am playing some kind of character or exploring a different side of myself,” Delevingne said. “And each time that comes to life through their costume/wardrobe/hair and make-up. So, yes, there is great connection between all of these worlds. I love getting to shift between the different worlds and work with all of the incredible people that that includes.”
