Cara Delevingne Makes Her Debut as L’Oréal Ambassador in Strappy Platform Sandals Le Défilé L’Oréal Paris Fashion Show

Cara Delevingne hit the runway in a pair of strappy platform sandals while walking at the Le Défilé L’Oréal Paris – Walk Your Worth show on Monday night as part of Paris Fashion Week.
Characterized by a sleek, black shade, the silhouette included a thick strap in the upper region of the shoe, alongside a slender black ankle strap with a buckle to lock her feet in place. A platform base measuring between 1-to-2 inches in height was built into the upper portion of the sandal.
While the back of the shoes weren’t visible due to the model’s floor-length coat, it’s likely based on Delevingne affinity for tall heels that the back of the sandals were completed by a razor sharp stiletto heel ranging between 4-to-5 inches in height. The model opted for a fiery coat and matching shorts to round out her outfit.
Styling her hair in a side part, she completed her look with a daring red lip.
Strappy sandals are a popular footwear choice for many celebrities and influencers as they can come in many different forms. First established in the early 1900s, the style has been praised for its versatility and ability to work well with a ton of different outfit combinations. Many brands such as Gucci, Chanel and Christian Louboutin carry strappy sandals as a part of their footwear lineup, offering the style in many different iterations.
In fact, fellow L’Oréal Paris model Kendall Jenner also wore strappy sandals for the presentation. Characterized by a red design, the shoes featured a slender red-strap in the upper region and a razor sharp stiletto heel ranging between 4-to-5 inches in height.
According to a statement via the L’Oréal Paris website, this show was a “celebration of women’s empowerment, inclusion, and sisterhood on the Place de l’Opéra, and welcomed the brand’s family of ambassadors, fashion designers, and beauty experts, who united to make a feminine and feminist statement.”
L’Oréal Paris announced earlier this month that the model would be its new ambassador. “L’Oréal Paris, the number one beauty brand in the world, is proud to welcome global star Cara Delevingne to the family as she embarks on an exciting new life chapter. A complete artist proficient in acting, modelling, and singing known for her charismatic personality, Cara Delevingne is the queen of reinvention and an inspirational figure of resilience,” a message on the brand’s website said. “Strong, unapologetic, edgy and authentic, Delevingne leads by example, empowering women take charge of their destiny and overcome life challenges.”
