Cardi B says she has 'not shed not one tear' over divorce from rapper Offset
Cardi B is setting the record straight on her divorce from Migos rapper Offset.
A few days after filing for divorce, the "WAP" artist went on Instagram Live Friday to share the reasons behind doing so and let everyone know that's she's doing just fine.
"I'm OK. I want to let y'all know I have not shed not one tear," Cardi B said after thanking everyone for sending her well-wishes.
She said usually when the media gets wind of the "crazy" things Offset has done, she ends up crying. But this time was different because her divorce wasn't because of anything that happened in the past.
"It's not because of cheating," Cardi B said. "I just got tired of (expletive) arguing, I got tired of not seeing things eye to eye. When you feel like it's just not the same anymore, before you actually get cheated on I'd rather just leave."
The rapper, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, filed a divorce petition in Fulton County, Georgia, on Tuesday, requesting an end to her marriage to the Migos rapper, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus.

According to the petition, obtained by USA TODAY, Cardi B wants legal and primary physical custody of the couple's 2-year-old daughter, Kulture. She is also seeking an equitable division of their marital assets as well as for Offset to pay both child support and all of her legal fees from the divorce.
Cardi B also refuted rumors that she's getting a divorce "for clout," noting she doesn't need to pull any stunts to sell anything she's dropping adding that many of her projects have done well on their own.
"I don't understand why people want the reason for the divorce to be something so, so bad. It's nothing crazy, out of this world happened. Sometimes people really do (expletive) grow apart," Cardi B said. "I've been with this man for four years, I have a kid with this man, I have a household with this man. Sometimes you're just tired of the arguments, of the build ups. You get tired sometimes."
The petition comes three years after the couple secretly wed in September 2017, before Offset publicly proposed a month later by offering Cardi B a giant ring while they were onstage during a Philadelphia concert.
The couple also broke up briefly in December 2018, when Cardi announced that she and Offset were no longer in a relationship.
The announcement came in the mist of reported infidelity on the part of Offset, with TMZ publishing a tearful video statement from model Summer Bunni in which she apologized for coming between the couple.
