Carmen Electra is reminiscing over her most famous costume piece.

At the Los Angeles premiere of the new Hulu series After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun, the 52-year-old actress and model told PEOPLE that she still has the iconic red swimsuit that became synonymous with the beach drama.

"I just took it because at that point we all did our fittings — the new cast," Electra said at the Aug. 26 event. "We did our fittings and the suits didn't come through until the very end, so we were wearing everyone else's suit that was tagged 'Everyone' would fit into. But I had no problem with it. I thought it was kind of cool. 'Okay, it's Yasmine [Bleeth]’s suit that's going to fit.'"

Bleeth joined the series, fronted by David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson, as Caroline Holden in 1993, four years after its premiere in 1989. Electra, who played Lani McKenzie, joined the main cast in 1997.

Of Bleeth, Electra said: "She's one of the girls' girls that I adore and love so much. She was great. I loved working with her."

While Electra said she hadn't spoken to Bleeth "in a while," she expressed her appreciation for the actress' welcoming nature on set.

"Her and Traci [Bingham] were the girls that grabbed me and said, 'You should feel comfortable here. This is what it is. This is what we're going to do.' And I was like, 'Cool. Thank you," she recalled. "Because sometimes it can be intimidating. I mean, obviously I was working at MTV and my career was popping, but Baywatch was just the icing on the cake and then it helped me launch into so many different directions."

On July 10, ABC News Studios announced the four-part series Hulu series, which will take a deeper look into "the cultural phenomenon that defined an era," per a press release.

The show, which ran from 1989 to 2001, followed a team of lifeguards led by Lieutenant Mitch Buchannon (Hasselhoff) as they saved lives and navigated personal dramas while working at a Los Angeles beach.

The docuseries will include never-before-seen home videos shot by the cast, as well as exclusive interviews with over 35 of the show's creators and cast members — including  Electra, Nicole Eggert, Billy Warlock and Alexandra Paul. Anderson, who famously starred as C.J. Parker, will also sit down for a never-aired-before interview.

After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun premieres Wednesday, Aug. 28 on Hulu.
