'The Talk' co-host Carrie Ann Inaba tests positive for COVID-19: 'You don't want this'
Add Carrie Ann Inaba to the growing list of celebrities who’ve been directly affected by the coronavirus, as it continues to plague the country and the world.
Sheryl Underwood, Inaba’s co-host on The Talk, told viewers of Thursday’s show that Inaba was at home recovering after testing positive for the illness.
“As you can see Carrie Ann is not here with us today. She found out this morning that she tested positive for COVID-19,” Underwood said. “Obviously, our thoughts are with her, we love her, and we’re praying for a full recovery.”

Underwood said co-host Sharon Osbourne was doing the show from home, even though she had tested negative. Osbourne sent “all my love and prayers to Carrie Ann.”
Co-host Eve sent well wishes, too: “Carrie Ann is where she needs to be, and sending her so much good energy and so much good love.”
Inaba elaborated on her condition in a video post, describing her symptoms as “a fever and bad cough and lots of aches and pains.”
She told people not to worry about her and reminded them to be careful during the pandemic.
“I’m following all the protocols and we have so many strict protocols in place, and even then I caught it,” the Dancing With the Stars judge said. “So just a friendly reminder to stay vigilant, take care of yourselves and wear your mask, please. Wash your hands a lot and just be extra, extra careful, because you don’t want this.”
On the same day, another host from daytime TV, Ellen DeGeneres, announced that she also has COVID-19. Production on her show has temporarily shut down.
