Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley Get Political Co-Hosting the CMA Awards
Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley co-hosted the CMA Awards Wednesday night for the third year in a row, and the dynamic duo put together another great performance. After the opening musical medley, Carrie and Brad hit the stage and started cracking jokes, focusing the majority of their humor on this election.
While Carrie pointed out some of the night’s nominees, Brad chimed in with “wrong” and “lies” like Donald Trump during the debates. Brad even went as far as to call his co-host “Crooked Carrie.” After a few more political punchlines, Carrie asked Brad the only question that mattered: “But the people need to know, will you accept tonight’s results?” Brad replied, “Yes … if I win,” to which Carrie responded, “You’re not even nominated!” All Brad could come up with after that was to call Carrie a “nasty woman.”
