Carrie Underwood’s fitness secret: See it as self-care

When life gets hectic with work, taking care of the kids, schedules and other commitments, Carrie admits it can be difficult to find time to work out, so her key is to simply do it anywhere she can.

“It’s really important to me to prioritize exercise, whether I’m at a gym or only have time for a quick run or some squats while I’m folding laundry or picking up toys,” Carrie shares of how she stays healthy, upbeat and keeps her legendary legs strong.

And the benefits are more than just skin deep. “It really impacts my overall sense of well-being, so I always make it a priority for myself,” she adds. “I really enjoy it, so it’s not hard for me to be motivated. Honestly, exercise and physical activity really is my greatest form of self-care.”

In an effort to help other women hone their fitness routines and find that same joie de vivre, Carrie launched the app fit52 in 2020. “It features a lot of the different workouts I enjoy — including my leg routine!” The best part? “You can customize each workout and do the exercises anywhere. You don’t need to be in a gym or have any equipment around.”
