Instead of solving crime, it looks like Castle’s Stana Katic might be committing crime in Tuesday’s Murder in a Small Town.

Katic guest-stars in Episode 3 of the Fox crime procedural as Zoe Strachan, a Gibson resident who becomes involved in Alberg’s latest investigation.

More from TVLine

Zoe “is confronted by her estranged brother Benjamin, who claims to be in financial trouble,” according to the Episode 3 logline. “When a dead body that matches Benjamin’s description is discovered, Alberg begins the search for the killer.”

In a chilling, exclusive sneak peek (which you can watch above or below), Alberg’s search appears to zero in on Zoe. As Alberg approaches her in a parking lot, he notices a scratch on her vehicle. “Accidents happen,” Zoe says rather ominously. “Live and let live.”

But just as Karl gears up to confront her, Zoe takes control of the conversation. “You’re very good at that. That steely gaze and cryptic silence, I bet people just start babbling,” she says, refusing to babble herself.

Episode 3 will chronicle Alberg’s third major investigation in Gibson, as the town has already seen two murders since his arrival: One, a classic crime of passion, and the other, a drug-fueled act of violence.

Hit PLAY on the exclusive sneak peek below (if you’re unable to view it above), then hit the comments with your thoughts: Is Zoe the culprit? Or is there more to Episode 3 than meets the eye?
