Best Known For: The TV series The O.C. (2003-2007), as well as the movies The Last Kiss (2006), Jumper (2008) and The To Do List (2013)
Thoughts on Hart of Dixie: “I’m so lucky to have everyone that I do. I don’t feel any pressure, because I really feel like it’s a group effort and everyone is so fantastic. I realize it is Hart of Dixie and Zoe Hart, it is her last name. But it is a group effort, and it really is a family. So, there’s no pressure.”
Jaime King
Character Played: Lemon Breeland
Born: April 23, 1979, in Omaha, Nebraska
Best Known For: The movies White Chicks (2004), Sin City (2005), The Spirit (2008) and My Bloody Valentine (2009)
Thoughts on Hart of Dixie: “I play Lemon Breeland, who is a young woman born and raised in the South… She’s so funny and fun to be with, and she’s crazy. The most fun thing is her complexity. She really is in love with somebody else, but can’t be with him. She has to fight her inner nature, and I think it’s fun to watch people unravel.”
Cress Williams
Character Played: Lavon Hayes
Born: July 26, 1970, in Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany
Best Known For: The TV series Black Lightning (2018-2021), as well as the movies Fallen (1998) and Never Been Kissed (1999)
Thoughts on Hart of Dixie: “What I love about Hart of Dixie, for the most part, we stay on the light side and then we have these moments of heaviness. I feel like I get a chance to, in a whole season, get really dramatic and get really silly at the same time.”
Wilson Bethel
Character Played: Wade Kinsella
Born: February 24, 1984, in Hillsborough, New Hampshire
Best Known For: TV series including Generation Kill (2008), The Young and the Restless (2009-2011), How to Get Away with Murder (2016-2017) and All Rise (2019-2023)
Thoughts on Hart of Dixie: “I really enjoy working on Hart of Dixie. The cast are obviously a great bunch, the crew, the writers. Over the course of two years, it's become a pretty cool family.”
Scott Porter
Character Played: George Tucker
Born: July 14, 1979, in Omaha, Nebraska
Best Known For: The TV series Friday Night Lights (2006-2010) and Ginny and Georgia (2021-2023). Also known for the movies Prom Night (2008), Speed Racer (2008) and Dear John (2010)
Thoughts on Hart of Dixie: “It seemed Hart of Dixie, and George Tucker particularly, was a chance to get back to a role that was more similar to how I broke into the business before Friday Night Lights. It was nice to leave the drama behind and find a smart, intelligently written, lighter-toned comedy that was set in a place that could feel like a theater production.”
Tim Matheson
Character Played: Dr. Brick Breeland
Born: December 31, 1947, in Glendale, California
Best Known For: The TV shows The West Wing (1999-2006) and Virgin River (2019-2023). Also known for the movies National Lampoon’s Animal House (1978)
Thoughts on Hart of Dixie: “It’s a small town like we all wish we had come from or could live in, that despite all their differences, everybody seems to get along at the end of the day or find a way to get along and it was kind of a magical little town.”
Kaitlyn Black
Character Played: AnnaBeth Nass
Born: July 29, 1983, in Ohio
Best Known For: TV series including Traffic Light (2011) and Raising Hope (2011), as well as the short, Relationship Deli (2018)
Thoughts on Hart of Dixie: “The show's blooper reel is out of control, which should indicate the amount of laughter we have on set! It truly is a joy to come to work. There is a great balance of work and play on set (mostly work), but it's never a dull moment in Bluebell.”
