Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michael Douglas stun with daughter Carys in Cannes: See photos

It was a glitzy and glamorous family affair on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet Tuesday.

Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones and their daughter Carys Zeta Douglas owned the carpet in the South of France for the opening of the 76th Festival de Cannes and the screening of "Jeanne du Barry," posing together with Zeta-Jones, 53, and Zeta Douglas, 20, giving Douglas a sweet peck on the cheek. Douglas, 78, received an Honorary Palme d'Or with his wife and their daughter looking on from the audience.

Douglas' honorary award was given "in recognition of his brilliant career as well as his engagement for cinema," according to the Festival de Cannes' announcement earlier this month, and his decades-long career includes two Oscar wins. Past recipients include Jodie Foster and Forest Whitaker, among others.

"I'm even older than the festival," Douglas quipped after receiving a warm standing ovation.

Douglas and Zeta-Jones married in 2000. The couple also share a son, Dylan Michael Douglas, 22. Douglas has another son, Cameron Douglas, 44, who he shares with first wife Diandra Luker.

Douglas looked proud receiving the award that recognized his long career at the festival's opening, as did his wife and daughter who clapped for his achievement in the audience.

Zeta-Jones and Zeta Douglas, both clad in Elie Saab gowns, held Douglas' arms at the start of the festival, smiling on his award day.

The family waved and smiled at cameras in striking looks with Zeta Douglas donning a white gown, her father in a classic black tux and her mother in a vibrant red gown.

Douglas held his shining achievement above his head, presenting it at the Cannes Film Festival.
