Cecilie Bahnsen is set to offer her latest Asics collaborative shoe at her first New York City pop-up next month.
According to the Danish designer, the company will host a three-day pop-up at 41 Division St. in downtown Manhattan during New York Fashion Week. In what will be the designer’s largest retail activation yet, the shop will extend across two floors, with the ground level displaying Cecilie Bahnsen’s fall/winter 2024 collection and the brand’s latest sneaker collaboration with Asics.
A limited number of the Cecilie Bahnsen x Asics Gel-Terrain sneakers, including an exclusive red colorway, will be available for purchase as a special pre-release ahead of the official launch later this fall, the brand said. First seen on the brand’s runway show in February, the Cecilie Bahnsen x Asics Gel-Terrain sneaker follows the duo’s previous tie-ups featuring reworked versions of Asics’ GT-2160 and the Gel Quantum 360 VII.
Alongside the collection and sneakers, an installation featuring “The Bite” Apple, created in partnership with artist and photographer Casper Sejersen and creative studio Moon for Bahnsen’s fall/winter ‘24 runway show, will take center stage. The installation will also debut the Cecilie Bahnsen x Asics Gel-Terrain campaign shot by Sejersen.
The second-floor space will feature a more intimate showcase of the fall/winter ‘24 collection, alongside exclusive made-to-order styles, and one-of-a-kind archive pieces. Reserved for private bookings, clients here will be guided through the collection by the brand’s team offering expert knowledge on each garment’s fabrication and silhouette and how to style full looks. The second-floor space will also feature a curated selection of bridal styles.
Open from Sept. 7 through Sep. 9, doors will be open to the public allowing dedicated fans of the brand and new customers alike to come touch, feel and shop the collection and meet the team.
This pop-up follows a string of retail activations across key cities for the brand, including London, Paris, Tokyo and Seoul.
In June, Asics gave a preview of its spring/summer 2025 slate of collaborations during Paris Fashion Week Men’s. Among the offering is the athletic brand’s newest style with Cecilie Bahnsen – a reinterpretation of Asics’ Gel-Quantum 360 VIII.
