Celeb Couples Who Have Shared the Details About Their Sex Lives
For many couples, talking about sex can be all kinds of taboo. Even though they might have great sex lives, getting honest about sex and their needs and wants can still make people curl and blush uncontrollably. But, for others, talking about that aspect of their lives feels like just any other type of conversation. After all, why not be open about everything you want and love?
Some of our favorite Hollywood couples, like Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, or Ashley Graham and Justin Ervin, for example, haven’t been shy about sharing some NSFW details about their sex lives, be it good or bad.
In 2023, Live co-hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos opened up about the “sexual rituals” they would follow while spending some time apart while Consuelos filmed Riverdale. “They were so ludicrous over FaceTime,” Ripa said. “I became so alarmed at my appearance over FaceTime that I started rigging the computer to hang from a ladder. You get really close to yourself in situations when you’re separated from your husband for long periods of time.”

“I don’t need a red Ferrari … I can buy a red Ferrari!” she continued. “Just do the f–king dishes! I will suck your d–k! It’s that easy.”

“You both enjoy sex more than foreplay,” Kaye told the couple, per E! News. “You’re both super into post-workout sex, and shower sex and prefer cuffs over ropes.”
“So there’s a lot in the bedroom, out of the bedroom, that you aligned on,” he revealed. When asked if they were surprised by the results, Robach and Holmes answered with a joint “No.” Talk about in-sync!
Justin & Hailey Bieber
Hailey Bieber might’ve been shy, but she did end up revealing some details of her sex life with husband Justin Bieber in an episode of Call Her Daddy.
“[Our sex life is] not like I’m like ‘I strictly like this one thing’ and he strictly likes another thing,” she said, per People. “It’s always something different.”
After some insistence from host Alex Cooper, the Rhode founder admitted, “I really like doggy-style.”
Chase Stokes & Kelsea Ballerini
Kelsea Ballerini gushed about her boyfriend Chase Stokes in an episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast. “My experience with [sex] was very performative and for the other person,” she said, looking back at her previous relationships, per Hollywood Life. “It don’t be like that anymore.”
“I didn’t understand how [sex] could be a real connector in a relationship,” she continued. “I always thought it was just something that you did. … Now, I realize it’s a connector for people.” Looks like these two really are on cloud nine!
Rita Ora & Taika Waititi

Prince Harry & Meghan Markle
While the British royal family is quite private when it comes to their personal life, Prince Harry couldn’t help but share a glimpse into his and Meghan Markle’s chemistry in his memoir Spare. In one story, Markle and Harry hadn’t seen each other in a while and were about to meet at a London hotel where she was staying. “She pulled me inside and thanked her friend in one fluid motion,” Harry recalled. “Then slammed the door quickly before anyone saw.”
Harry continued, hinting at their steamy connection, “I want to say we hung a ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on the door. But I don’t think there was time.” We’re loving this for them!
Billy Crudup & Naomi Watts
Actress Naomi Watts opened up about her “pretty great” sex life with her new husband Billy Crudup. “I personally think sex becomes more pleasurable when you take out the fear of making babies,” she said at event titled Unlocking Intimacy: Navigating Passion in Midlife, per Us Weekly. “What is that expression? ‘Closed for business, open for pleasure.'”
According to Watts, their sex life is thriving because she’s “more confident” in the bedroom and Crudup, for his part, is a “100 percent empathetic.” “Whatever it is you’re going through, if you can talk to your partner, if you can be honest and have a really authentic conversation and take away the awkwardness, and most of the time if they’re good people, they will be empathetic,” she said. “And that’s hot.”
Tommy Lee & Brittany Furlan
Knowing Tommy Lee’s history and reputation, it’s no wonder he and his wife Brittany Furlan are open about their sex life. “I used to do stand-up many years ago,” Furlan recently said during a comedy gig, per her Instagram post. “Then I stopped doing stand-up comedy and I married Tommy Lee. Now I should be doing sit-down comedy for the rest of my life. Jesus Christ.”
She continued, this time gesturing to her private parts. “My God, does anyone have a f**** icepack or heating pad?” she said. “My vagina was normal, okay? It was normal and nice and cute. That’s what mine looked like ’til I met him.”
Kelly Ripa & Mark Consuelos
Though Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have never been shy about their relationship, the two shared some dishy details of their long-distance sex life in Ripa’s podcast Let’s Talk Off Camera. “We had sexual rituals,” she recalled. “They were so ludicrous over FaceTime. I became so alarmed at my appearance over FaceTime that I started rigging the computer to hang from a ladder. I hung the computer over a ladder so that I could look up to Mark and he did not have to see what gravity was actually doing. You get really close to yourself in situations when you’re separated from your husband for long periods of time.”
During her 2018 Facebook series Heads and Faces, Ripa also shared the hilarious phrase Consuelos started using in bed. “When he undresses me, he’s the one that coined the phrase ‘I’m a human pinata.’ Because at the end of the night — and I don’t want to brag, but after a night with me — it’s like party favors all over the floor.” She continued, “There’s false eyelashes, there’s hair extensions, there’s chicken cutlets, those are on the floor. You name it, anything that I try to look like a female in person.”
Nicole Kidman & Keith Urban
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, the ultimate pros at red carpet PDA, have also opened up about their sex lives. During an appearance on The Ellen Show, per HuffPost, Urban talked about the NSFW texts he shares with his wife. “We never text, we never email,” said, before correcting himself. “Maybe one text. Maybe one cool kind of, you know … a year, one of those kinds of texts, yes, one of those ones with the accompanying photo,” he added.
In his lyrics, Urban has also hinted at his and Kidman’s thriving sex life. “She’s a maniac in the bed, but a brainiac in the head,” he sings in his song “Gemini.”
Chrissy Teigen & John Legend
Chrissy Teigen has always been an open book, and that’s no different when it comes to her sex life with husband John Legend. “We’re by no means freaky-deaky, but let’s just say, we’re open to things,” the model told Cosmopolitan in 2014. “We’re very okay with PDA. When we go to a restaurant, he loves when I wear a dress, so he can do some upper-thigh rubbing.”
She then went on to share the craziest place they’ve ever had sex. “We were on our way to Thailand to see my parents, flying commercial first-class. We were under a blanket. We weren’t even in one of those pod things. I feel like we should get a trophy for that.”
Meghan Trainor & Daryl Sabara
One of TikTok’s most beloved couples, Meghan Trainor and Daryl Sabara, have talked about their steamy connection in the past. “I never really felt sexy with guys before,” she told Cosmopolitan in 2017. “No one expressed how they liked my body out loud in the bedroom until I met Daryl. He is obsessed with it — every inch. And that has improved my confidence more than even ‘Bass’ did. He’s a champion, so we’re in heaven.”
Will & Jada Pinkett Smith
Former couple Will and Jada Pinkett Smith had been open about keeping their spark alive after many years together. “I try to create the extraordinary in our ordinary world … whether it’s wearing La Perla lingerie with high heels or spending the weekend without the kids,” she told Shape back in 2019.
“When you have three kids, you’ve got to take your opportunities when they come,” she continued. “In a limo, on the way to the Academy Awards this year, Will started looking at me in this way that drives me wild. We started kissing passionately, and the next thing I knew, well, let’s just say we missed the red carpet and I ended up with almost no makeup on.” Talk about steamy!
Jason Biggs & Jenny Mollen
For many couples, their relationship was put to the test during the pandemic. For Jason Biggs and his wife Jenny Mollen, they just got steamier. “I guess we’ve been having more sex, that helps,” Mollen told US Weekly.
“Because of nothing else, we’ve been married so many years — we’ve been married 13 years — but I do feel like there’s just more, we’re seeing each other a lot more, we’re around each other so much that I guess it could go one of two ways. I’m either like, ‘I want to turn over and see anybody but you,’ or you just get closer,” she continued. “Luckily this has been a real bonding experience for us. And I think it’s brought us closer. So there’s more intimacy in our relationship than ever. And it feels good.”
Alexa & Carlos PenaVega
Parents of three Alexa and Carlos PenaVega have also been open about their sex life. “I would enjoy [sex] but it wasn’t this thing I craved all the time,” the Spy Kids alum said on the Heaven In Your Home podcast. “And he’s a man so he’s like ‘I want you to want me.’ I started trying to own the sex part of our marriage a bit more and really work on that.”
She continued, “It wasn’t necessarily because I was gung ho and ready for it. It was one of those things where — this is going to sound terrible — but you know how you don’t necessarily want to go to the gym at the beginning, but then once you start going you’re like ‘I have to go every day, this is great. I feel good, my body feels good.’”
Travis Barker & Kourtney Kardashian
Hot and heavy duo Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian always pack on some PDA, but only rarely go into details about their sex life. While taking Vanity Fair‘s lie detector test, for example, the Lemme founder set the record straight about a unique fetish her husband is interested in.
When her sister Khloé Kardashian asked her if she had a foot fetish, she responded, “I don’t, personally.” Khloé then asked, “Does Travis have a foot fetish for your feet?” “Yes,” Kourtney then confessed.
Harry Hamlin & Lisa Rinna
Reality TV stars Harry Hamlin and Lisa Rinna are keeping it steamy in the bedroom, and they’re not afraid to show it. When asked by Andy Cohen in March 2022 for Interview Magazine if their sex is great, he was quick to reply. “Of course it is, Andy!” Hamlin said. “We’re still married.” When asked if he takes Viagra to keep things going, he said, “I am Harry Hamlin. I’ve never had the blue pill.” Love the confidence!
Lena Waithe & Alana Mayo
Former couple Lena Waithe and Alana Mayo were also pretty open about their sex life together. “I think foreplay is extremely important,” the Master of None star told Refinery 29. “It’s kind of cheesy, but my girlfriend and I live together and my schedule allows me to be at home a lot when she goes to the office. So I always make it my business to make sure the house is clean when she comes home. That’s a big part of our foreplay: making sure when she comes home that she’s in a clean house and feels really good. That’s really important. People think sex only happens when people get naked, but it really starts when your partner gets home and when you’re doing things to get them in a really sexy place.”
She continued, weaving in some advice for any couple out there. “Also, as uncomfortable as it is, talk about what you like and what you’re not a fan of. I always do this after sex, and my girlfriend’s always like, ‘Why do we have to have SportsCenter right after sex?’ I think it’s really good to talk about it, be comfortable, and makes jokes, so that neither of you is afraid or feels like you aren’t in a place to say what you want or voice an opinion.”
Jessica Simpson & Eric Johnson
Jessica Simpson got candid about her sex life with hubby Eric Johnson during her pregnancy in 2012. “I am definitely feeling ‘intimate,'” Simpson said of her heightened libido on On Air with Ryan Seacrest, per HuffPost. “I’m kind of unstoppable at the moment! The big ‘O’ is like the biggest ‘O’ ever.”
As for how Johnson was feeling about her pregnancy desires, he seemed to be just as game. “He’s always ready!” she said.
Sting & Trudie Styler
Who said a couple’s sex life goes stale after 30+ years together? Sting and his wife of 31 years Trudie Styler are the perfect example of that being a total lie. “I don’t think pedestrian sex is very interesting,” the singer told Harper’s Bazaar back in 2011. “There’s a playfulness we have; I like the theater of sex. I like to look good. I like her to dress up. I like to dress her up.”
The two have also gone viral in the past for talking about their experience with tantric sex, ABC News reported.”The idea of tantric sex is a spiritual act,” Sting said during Inside the Actors Studio. “I don’t know any purer and better way of expressing a love for another individual than sharing that wonderful, I call it, ‘sacrament.’ I would stand by it. Not seven hours, but the idea.”
Jason Sudeikis & Olivia Wilde
Though Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde are no longer together, these two weren’t afraid to share how good their sex life was when they were dating. Talking to Elle in 2013, Sudeikis shared the somewhat surprising way he lost weight. “The truth is, I’m not getting up an hour earlier and walking on a treadmill. I have the greatest workout partner in the world. And you don’t need a gym membership for that kind of workout,” he said. Also in the interview, the Ted Lasso star agreed with Wilde’s description that they have “sex like Kenyan marathon runners.”
Julianne Hough & Brooks Laich
Former couple Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich were an open book when it comes to their sex life. In one episode of his podcast, How Men Think, for example, Laich told sexologist Miss Jaiya about his biggest turn-ons. “I really like an environment,” he said. “So I like some dim lighting, candles on, music. I like that, but then also something specifically that really gets me in the mood would be when my wife wears lingerie. There’s an element of risqué, there’s an element of desire and lust, and also a little space there. So if she wears lingerie but she’s just five or six feet away, or maybe she just walks around the bed a little back or walks back, just creates a little bit of space there, is something that’s very erotic for myself.”
In one interview with Cosmopolitan, Hough also opened up about her struggles with phone sex with Laich. “I’m really bad at it … I’ll get halfway through and start laughing,” she admitted. “It’s an art. I applaud people who are good at it. They need to come and help me keep a straight face!”
Ashley Graham & Justin Ervin
Ashley Graham has been open about her healthy sex life with husband Justin Ervin. “My husband and I don’t see each other very often, and when we are out of alignment, which with every couple, it happens, we have sex and we get back into alignment,” Graham told Us Weekly.
She continued, “That works for us. It doesn’t work for everyone. Also, when we’re having a lot of sex, we’re all over each other. And when we’re not having a lot of sex, we are kind of like, ‘Ew, get away.’ So why not in those moments that are so precious to us and we don’t get to see each other very often, why not just have sex?”
Jenny McCarthy & Donnie Wahlberg
Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg weren’t afraid to get specific during their sex talk on Watch What Happens Live in 2014. “Without a doubt, it gets better every single time I make love to him,” she said, before adding, “First of all, he has the most beautiful penis I’ve ever seen in my life.”
She continued, with Wahlberg in the audience, “The size is perfect. I can’t get too descriptive, but…it fits my vagina perfectly. It hits the spot.”
