All the Celebrities Who Got Engaged in 2024
Looks like 2024 will be another year of surprise celebrity engagements! In 2023, many of our favorite celebrities either got down on one knee or said “yes” to getting married and spending the rest of their lives with someone else.
Among the stars who got engaged last year are actors Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse, who just welcomed their first child together, Jake Bongiovi and Millie Bobby Brown, Jonathan Scott and Zooey Deschanel, Jordan Lutes and Demi Lovato, among many others. And while some of last year’s engaged couples have already tied the knot (including Vanessa Hudgens and Cole Tucker), others split before hearing wedding bells (we’re looking at you, Rosalía & Rauw Alejandro).

Justin Theroux and Nicole Brydon Bloom confirmed their engagement in the coolest way possible: showing off her new massive ring at the star-studded Venice Film Festival! As they attended the red carpet for Theroux’s new movie Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Bloom showed off her new ring. According to People, Theroux, who’s been married once before to Jennifer Aniston from 2015 to 2017, popped the question in Italy shortly before.
The two have been together since February 2023.
Christian Serratos & David Boyd
Walking Dead alum Christian Serratos and Danish singer David Boyd just got engaged after 10 years together! Serratos shared the news on her Instagram with the caption reading, “I’ve been calling my boyfriend ‘Husband’ for ten years. ?? Now it’s OFFICIAL ?? @DavidBoyd customized my DREAM RING, done to perfection by @brilliantearth #brilliantearthpartner.”
Along with being together for a decade, they share one daughter together named Wolfgang, born on 2017.
Tom Pelphrey & Kaley Cuoco
Kaley Cuoco announced that she was engaged to partner Tom Pelphrey in an August 14 Instagram Story, writing: “Amazing weekend.”
The couple met in April 2022 which, according an interview with USA Today, Cuoco called “love at first sight.” Their daughter, Matilda, was born in March 2023.
Lady Gaga & Michael Polansky
Lady Gaga confirmed her engagement to entrepreneur Michael Polansky in quite an unexpected way: introducing him as her “fiancé” to French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal during the Paris Olympic Games, per Hollywood Life. The pair have been together since 2020.
Emma Roberts & Cody John
After two years of dating, Space Cadet star Emma Roberts announced she’s engaged to her boyfriend Cody John. “putting this here before my mom tells everyone ??,” she wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of them and her brand-new ring. The pair have been dating since 2022.
Huma Abedin & Alex Soros
It’s true, political couple Huma Abedin and Alex Soros are engaged! Soros shared the news on his Instagram with the caption reading, “this happened…we couldn’t be happier, more grateful, or more in love ?? ?? ??”
According to Vogue, Soros proposed to Abedin in May at home in New York City. The pair have been together since late 2023 after meeting at a mutual friend’s birthday party.
Matty Healy & Gabbriette Bechtel
It’s true, the 1975 frontman Matty Healy and model Gabbriette Bechtel are engaged! The pair were first linked in Sept 2023, and they confirmed their romance soon after. As for the engagement, Bechtel sparked rumors after she posted a photo to her Instagram story, showing a black engagement ring, saying, “MARRYING THE 1975 IS VERY BRAT.”
Healy’s mother confirmed it, via People, and also confirmed this happened weeks ago.
“I have known for a few weeks that Matty got engaged … They went over to see their friends Charli and George in New York and I woke up this morning to the fact they’ve put it on Instagram. Instagram official … he’s got engaged to Gabriella Bechtel — Gabbriette she’s known as. Black diamond; he had it made for her,” she said. “I couldn’t be more thrilled. We couldn’t be happier — she is everything I would want in a daughter-in-law. I’m thrilled.”
Alexys Fleming & Davis Edwards
Alexys Fleming, also known as MadeYewLook on Youtube, is engaged! On May 2024, she and the Creative Director for OpTic Davis Edwards got engaged after around three years together. Fleming shared the news on Instagram with the caption reading, “WE’RE ENGAGED! One of the most unforgettable moments of my life. No words online could ever express the love and happiness I felt in this moment. Always and forever, my fiancé, @hitchariide ?? This was also the actual song playing at the fountain. Every time I hear it my heart pounds, haha. ?? @foxtailco.”
Phoebe Dynevor & Cameron Fuller
Despite keeping their relationship private, Phoebe Dynevor and Cameron Fuller are officially engaged!
The pair, who first sparked dating rumors in early 2023, seemingly confirmed their engagement at the 2024 Met Gala with the Bridgerton star wearing a brand new (and stunning!) engagement ring, per E! News.
Throughout their relationship, Dynevor and fellow actor Fuller have only been spotted twice in public outings: at the Wimbledon tennis tournament in July 2023 and the 2024 BAFTAs in February.
Brooke Hyland
Dance Moms alum Brooke Hyland is engaged!
Hyland got engaged to her longtime boyfriend Brian Thalman and announced the news on Instagram with a series of pictures. “Learned that he’s almost as tall as me on one knee — here’s to today, tomorrow, & forever after that ??,” she wrote in the caption.
Hyland and Thalman have been together since December 2021, per People.
Lola Abecassis & Kid Cudi
On Wednesday, April 17, Kid Cudi revealed his romance with menswear designer Lola Abecassis for the first time and announced that the couple were engaged.
“This amazing woman makes me so happy, she is everything to me and im so excited to share this news w u all,” Cudi wrote on Instagram. “Life is wild, and right when I felt my future was uncertain, it became crystal clear with Lola. Happy Cud in full effect.”
In her own Instagram update, Lola said that she “never thought I could love someone this much,” adding that she was “so proud” to call Cudi her “fiancé.”
Nelly & Ashanti
On April 17, Ashanti dropped not one but two bombshells, revealing that she and Nelly got engaged and are expecting their first baby together.
“This new year of my life is such a blessing full of love, hope and anticipation,” Ashanti told Essence. “Motherhood is something that I have looked forward to, and sharing this with my family, fiancé and loyal fans, who have been so supportive of my career, is an amazing experience.”
The performers first dated in 2003 before ending things in 2013. However, after a ten-year hiatus, they reunited in 2023.
This is Ashanti’s first child. Nelly is a father to son Cornell III (who goes by Tre), 21, and daughter, Chanelle (who goes by Nana), 26. He also adopted niece Sydney and nephew Shawn after his sister, Jackie Donahue, died in March 2005.
Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola & Justin May
Jersey Shore alum Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola is officially a fiancée!
The reality star announced the news on Instagram with a series of pictures of her new fiancé Justin May.
“Life update: Fiancé ?????? 3.16.24 The easiest question I’ve ever answered,” she wrote in the caption. “Happiest & luckiest girl in the world ?? I’ll love you forever, and then some ?? #Futurewifey #Engaged.”
“Can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you,” she continued. “*Not an April fools joke*”
The two had been together since late 2021. Congrats to the happy couple!
Joey Graziadei & Kelsey Anderson
And the final rose goes to… Kelsey A!
After an emotional season, The Bachelor’s Joey Graziadei season came to an end as he gave his final rose to his now-fiancée Kelsey Anderson.
“We want to promise our lives together, but we don’t want to rush it,” Graziadei told People. “It’s time now to enjoy this. We have the rest of our lives to celebrate it. We’re going to take it day by day and just enjoy this time.”

Chris Conran & Alana Milne
In other Bachelor Nation news, former Bachelor in Paradise stars Chris Conran and Alana Milne also have wedding bells in their future! The pair announced the news in a joint Instagram post on March 25.
“My dream girl said yes to forever ??,” Conran wrote in the caption, alongside pictures of the picturesque waterfront proposal. The couple has been together since 2021.
Brielle Biermann & Billy Seidl
Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann’s eldest daughter Brielle Biermann is officially an engaged woman! The 27-year-old announced that she said “yes” to baseball player Billy Seidl on Instagram. “forever with you ??????????,” she wrote in the caption alongside pictures of their special moments. Congrats to the happy couple!
Saoirse-Monica Jackson & Denis Sulta
Derry Girls star Saoirse-Monica Jackson announced her engagement to Scottish DJ Denis Sulta in a super low-key way. Jackson told fans the news by sharing an excerpt of an interview Sulta did with Metal magazine where he was asked about his favorite memory of 2023, per Sunday World. “The day I proposed to my fiancée Saoirse,” he replied. How sweet!
Amy Jackson & Ed Westwick
Ed Westwick has officially found his Blair Waldorf! On Jan. 29, the British actor announced that he popped the question to his longtime girlfriend, English actress and model Amy Jackson. “Hell YES ??” Westwick wrote in the Instagram caption.
In the photos, Jackson and Westwick can be seen all suited up for skiing in snowy Gstaad, Switzerland. In the first photo, Westwick is down on one knee on a narrow bridge while in the last photo, the two are seen hugging and celebrating. Congratulations to the couple!
Meagan Tandy & Branden Wellington
Actors Meagan Tandy and Branden Wellington, who have been together since 2017, announced their engagement on Jan. 11 in an interview with People. “The engagement has brought about another level of excitement to our lives,” Wellington told the outlet. “We’re two incredibly blessed people to have found love and we’re even more committed to building a lasting marriage.”
Brayden Bowers & Christina Mandrell
On Jan. 4, The Golden Bachelor’s Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist said “I do” in a ceremony filled with friends, family and fellow members of Bachelor Nation. Among the guests were Brayden Bowers and Christina Mandrell, a couple who announced their relationship in the finale of Bachelor in Paradise season 9.
And, during the live TV broadcast of the occasion, Bowers got down on one knee and asked Mandrell to marry him.
“I have no doubts that I want to spend the rest of my life with you,” Bowers, who was a contestant of Charity Lawson’s season of The Bachelorette, told Mandrell in his proposal, per People. “And like Gerry said, it’s like, you know, we have such little time and … I just know that I want to spend the rest of my days with you.”
After his moving words, Mandrell said “Yes!” Congratulations to the happy couple!
