It’s International Women’s Day! While we are behind singer Rob Thomas‘s sentiments about the occasion — “Too many women have shaped this world for them to have just a day” (hear, hear!) — we’re still all in when it comes to marking it. So are Hollywood stars, from A to Z.

Social media is the place today for female and male celebrities to recognize and champion women. Females in their families, they work with, they mother, they lost. The touching and inspirational posts run the gamut — inspirational messages (Kathy Griffin), sweet family photos (Kate Hudson) or a full-on family dance party in celebration (Ciara and Russell Wilson, we stan).

Official feminist of the royal family Meghan Markle was out today talking about why it’s important to champion girls, mentioning that she’s been doing it since she was 11, thank you very much.

And that message for women to help women is just about everywhere, including on the social pages of Michelle Obama, Jennifer Garner and Jameela Jamil.

Julianne Moore shared a quote from The Big Lebowski: “My art has been commended as being strongly vaginal which bothers some men. The word itself makes some men uncomfortable. Vagina.”

Indeed, all ages are being represented. See: Courteney Cox’s sweet mama, Madonna’s dancing eldest daughter and more.

Stars showed love for their female colleagues — current and past. (We always love a Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants reunion.)

And others shared memories of inspiring women they lost.

This post, from Ciara, made us want to get up and dance.

And, yes, the Kardashians marked the day as well.

Some of the best posts, however, are ones shared by men, including Lenny Kravitz, David Beckham, Alec Baldwin and Hugh Jackman.
