Celebrities on the Tony Awards 2024 Red Carpet
It was a star-studded 2024 Tony Awards red carpet and we have all the best-dressed stars as well as plenty of honorable mentions.
While some might’ve said that award show season was over after the Oscars in March, theater fans know that the long-awaited Tony Awards were still far away. In fact, the 2024 Tony Awards, which took place on June 16 at the David H. Koch Theater in New York City, had both a star-studded red carpet, and some incredible history-making winners too.
Among the night’s biggest winners were Jonathan Groff, who took home the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical for Merrily We Roll Along, Maleah Joi Moon, who won the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical for Hell’s Kitchen, and The Outsiders, which took home the Best Musical Award.
“I just want to say when I was a kid in Pennsylvania, I used to record the Tony Awards on a VHS tape and watch the performances over and over again,” Groff said in his emotional speech, per Deadline. “And to actually be able to be a part of making theater in this city and just as much to be able to watch the work of this incredible, incredible community has been the greatest gift and pleasure of my life.”
