Celebrities Who Walked the Red Carpet With Their Families
For celebrities, few nights are more special than awards show nights. The Oscars, Grammys, Golden Globes, American Music Awards, and so many other esteemed events honor the time, dedication, and soul the uber-talented put into their projects every year. While celebrating a nomination, getting dolled up, and enjoying a glamorous evening out are all facets of what makes awards shows so sparkly for those in attendance, nothing is quite as special as being able to share the red carpet with their family members.
Whether it’s a parent-child date, a sibling outing, or an entire family affair, many celebrities have walked arm-in-arm with their loved ones on the red carpet at the most esteemed awards events. At the 2020 Golden Globe awards, the Wilson-Hanks family showed out in full force — Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks were flanked by their grown children on the red carpet, putting their blended family on display in elegant, sparkling attire.
Many celebs have toted their littles along to these special events as well, including DJ Khaled, whose wife and young sons were at his side at the 2023 Grammys. The musician, who was nominated for six awards and performed at the 65th annual event, told E! News, “For this to be my 13th album, and to be here with my family and to perform tonight… I want the young world to know out there: anything’s possible. Thirteen albums in, performing at the Grammys, six nominations. I got two beautiful boys, a queen. This is what it’s about.”

“My sister came, and my girls. That was the first time that they’d ever been on a red carpet, and Keith was there,” the actress said of the appearance. “I had all my nieces and nephews as well. The whole family was there, and that’s what I loved. It also made me look back, which is not something I often do,” she confessed.

The two cuties rocked the casual cool look and must have been so proud when their dad won the Favorite Fan Movie Award for Good Burger 2.

While Adam Sandler wore a mismated outfit to the 2024 Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards, his daughter Sunny twinned with mom Jackie in a little black dress and his daughter Sadie gave the family photo a pop of color in her blue satin gown.

During his acceptance speech, the Home Alone icon sweetly shouted out his family. “I’d like to thank Brenda,” he began. “You’re absolutely everything. You’re the best person I’ve ever known. And after the birth of our two boys, you’ve become one of my three favorite people.”

Ben Stiller and his wife Christine Taylor co-hosted the Project ALS 25th Anniversary Gala in October 2023, and their teenage son Quinlin came along for their elite fundraising event. In addition to the 18-year-old, the couple also shares a 21-year-old daughter named Ella.
Matt Damon
Matt Damon was accompanied by a gaggle of his girls during the July 2023 Oppenheimer premiere in Paris. His youngest daughter, Stella, is pictured to the left of Damon, while his middle daughter Gia stands on his right next to his stepdaughter Alexia.
While their family appearances are quite rare, the award-winning actor has walked the red carpet with all of his daughters, including his eldest, Isabella, on other occasions, including the Air premiere in March 2023.
Padma Lakshmi
In March 2023, Padma Lakshmi and her 13-year-old daughter Krishna attended the Endometriosis Foundation of America’s Blossom Ball. The mother-daughter duo matched in glamourous black ensembles, which looked stunning on the red carpet.
Dave Grohl
Nirvana alum and Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl brought his wife, Jordyn Blum, and their three daughters, Harper, Ophelia, and Violet, to the 2023 Grammy Awards.
Jelly Roll
Country music singer Jelly Roll and his kids Bailee Ann and Noah Buddy were decked out in denim for the 2024 Kids’ Choice Awards.
DJ Khaled
DJ Khaled walked the red carpet at the 2023 Grammy Awards in coordinating cheetah print outfits with his wife, Nicole Tuck, and their two sons, Aalam and Asahd.
The musician gushed to E! News, “I’m so excited, I’m with my family! Look at my family. This is who we do it for.” He continued, “This is Aalam, this is Asahd and this is my queen, Nicole. Aalam means ‘world’ in Arabic [and] Asahd means ‘lion’ in Arabic. It’s just beautiful, you know what I’m saying?”

NCIS alum LL Cool J, his wife Simone, and their daughter Samaria wore coordinating silver and black ensembles at the ’23 Grammys.

Thurman has yet to attend a red carpet event with all three of her kids. She shares the elder two with ex-husband Ethan Hawke and Luna with ex-fiancé Arpad Busson.
