There's so much to celebrate when welcoming a baby, and that includes your first-ever Mother's Day with your new arrival. See which first-time mamas (including Halle Bailey, Lindsay Lohan, Ashley Benson, Suki Waterhouse and Bonnie Wright) had extra-special Mother's Days on May 12, and shared glimpses at their new-mom journey.
Ashley Benson
Pretty Little Liars star Ashley Benson announced she had given birth to her first child with husband Brandon Davis in February 2024.
The new mother posted a photo to her Instagram Story of her new baby's small hand wrapped around her thumb. The actress added a simple "??" across the picture.
Benson and Davis, heir to the announced their engagement in July 2023 and were married later in the year.
On Mother's Day, Benson posted a more photos of the baby, including a look at the baby's full head of hair. "Being your mom is the best gift of all ??," she wrote.
Halle Bailey
What a big part of her world!
The Little Mermaid actress Halle Bailey, 23, announced on Instagram on January 6 that she had welcomed her first baby, a son, Halo, with boyfriend DDG, 26 sometime in 2023.
"Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son.. welcome to the world my halo ?????? ?the world is desperate to know you ??????," she captioned the photo.
On Mother's Day, Bailey posted an Instagram Reel that took fans from her moments in labor to the last few months with Halo. "my first mother’s day ??the greatest love i’ve ever known," she wrote.
Uzo Aduba
Orange Is the New Black star Uzo Aduba and her husband Robert Sweeting welcomed baby Adaiba in November 2023. In addition to a few adorable glimpses of her daughter for holidays over the past few months, she shared a look at Adaiba's tiny foot for a sentimental Mother's Day post.
"Mother’s Day. My first. And it has been filled with such a wonderful joy I can’t even begin to put into words," she wrote on Instagram. "This is the best gig I’ve ever had. I love my baby girl. My kid. So much. I love mothering her, being her mommy; what a blessing to have her in my life these last 6 months. She’s just awesome. Happy Mother’s Day to everyone who mothers. Whitney Cummings
After announcing via Instagram in December 2023 that she had just "3-D printed" (her way of saying she had just given birth) a son, Whitney Cummings shared a few insights into motherhood.
In her birth announcement Instagram post, the comedian, 41, shared a photo featuring a photo of herself that included a glimpse of the newborn's tiny hand.
"Enjoy me never having brushed hair again," the 2 Broke Girls executive producer jokingly captioned the post.
On Mother's Day, she posted a larger selection of photos of her son (including one from the day he was born) with the caption, "Worth every second of the post partum depression. Mother’s Day can feel like weird pressure but after childbirth I have a new definition of pressure - love you bud."
Suki Waterhouse
Suki Waterhouse, 32, who is engaged to Twilight actor Robert Pattinson, 37, confirmed the arrival of their baby on March 26, when the couple was spotted out and about in L.A. pushing a stroller.
A week later, the actress introduced her baby to the world via Instagram with a sweet post that the "OMG" singer captioned, "Welcome to the world angel ??."
Waterhouse first revealed that she was pregnant during a set at the Corona Capital Festival in Mexico in November 2023. She told audience members, "I'm extra sparkly today because I thought it might distract you from something else that's going on." She was dressed in a glittery pink minidress, a feathery coat, fringe-trimmed boots, and glittery tights.
The Daisy Jones and the Six star was met with cheers as she opened her coat to reveal a baby bump.
The couple has yet to reveal the sex of their baby.
Kali Uchis
A collab for the ages!
Kali Uchis and Don Toliver revealed that they had welcomed their first baby together in a March 14 Instagram post to Uchis' account.
While the couple has still yet to reveal the sex of their baby, it's clear that they are deeply in love with their new bundle of joy!
"Giving birth to you was the greatest day of my life, thank you for choosing us to be your parents," the "Moonlight" singer captioned the post.
"You give us so much strength & motivation to be greater, to be our best selves for You. & we hope every day you feel how loved you are by us; nothing compares."
Lindsay Lohan
She's not a regular mom, she's a cool mom!
Lindsay Lohan welcomed son Luai in July 2023, a rep for the actress confirmed, saying the Mean Girls actress and her husband husband, Bader Shammas, were "over the moon in love."
On Mother's Day, Lohan shared a post to her Instagram that read, "It’s my first Mother’s Day and I couldn’t be more grateful to be a mom. It’s been the biggest blessing life has offered me. I am more thankful every day that goes by for my beautiful son Luai. Sending love and hugs to all of the mothers!"
Bonnie Wright
You're a mother, Bonnie!
The actress, 33, who played Ginny Weasley throughout the entire Harry Potter movie franchise, announced in September of last year that she and her husband, Andrew Lococo, had welcomed a baby boy together.
The baby, whom Wright and Lococo named Elio Ocean, was born on Sept. 19, 2023, in the couple's home, with the assistance of a midwife.
In an Instagram post announcing the birth, Wright thanked her husband for being her "rock" throughout the birth.
"Elio has the most tender loving papa," she wrote in her caption. "Ok hormonal emotional extra long caption over!"
Ashley Olsen
In August 2023, TMZ revealed to the world that Ashley Olsen had become a mother!
The fashion mogul, 37, and husband Louis Eisner, 34, welcomed their first baby together — a son named Otto, PEOPLE confirmed.
PEOPLE confirmed that the very private couple had tied the knot in a small ceremony in December 2022.
Gemma Styles
Gemma Styles, older sister of English singer Harry Styles, will celebrate her first Mother's Day as a mom this year after announcing in a February 2024 Instagram post that she had given birth to her first child, a baby girl, with husband Michal Mlynowski.
"Hello from maternity leave,” she captioned the post, in which the family of three is pictured enjoying a walk together. The post also included a photo of the brand-new mother holding her baby girl in the hospital after birth.
Styles—an environmental activist, writer, fashion designer, and influencer herself—has been dating Mlynowski since 2015. One of their first dates was to see Harry perform while he was still with boyband One Direction.
Chloe Bridges
Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam actress Chloe Bridges and her husband Adam DeVine, 40, are about to enjoy Mother's Day together with their new son Beau.
The pair announced that they had welcomed their first baby together on Friday, Feb. 16, both taking to Instagram to share the happy news with their followers and fans.
"Meet lil baby Beau Devine! He can be fussy at times but we’ve already learned some great parenting techniques," Devine captioned his post. "Do your best fussy baby impression along with him and he’ll straighten right out."

Summer House: Martha's Vineyard star Jasmine Ellis-Cooper, 31, welcomed her first baby with her husband, Silas, on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024.
In the Instagram post announcement, Cooper was pictured posing in front of a mural as she smiled while holding up her baby. She also included a sweet photo of the newly-minted mother-son duo cuddling on a couch.
Bhad Babie
Bhad Bhabie has her own baby now!
The 20-year-old reality TV star-turned-rapper, whose real name is Danielle Bregoli, shared a photo on Instagram in March 2024 of herself posing with her newborn daughter in her arms.
On Mother's Day, she posted "a surprise": The first photos of her daughter's face.
This is the rapper's first child with boyfriend Le Vaugh.
While Bhabie has yet to confirm the babe's name, she did mention in a February interview with PEOPLE that she was considering naming her daughter Kali Love.
"The name doesn't really have any specific meaning, it's just his mom picked the middle name and then I had a list of five names I liked, and Kali was one of them," she said. "I thought that Love went good with Kali."

The 33-year-old niece of Princess Diana surprised fans and followers when she announced in a March 10 Instagram post marking U.K. Mother's Day that she had given birth to a new baby.
“It’s the joy of my life to be your mummy, little one. I love you unconditionally ?? Happy Mother’s Day to those who celebrate today ??,” the Dolce & Gabbana spokesmodel captioned the post.
Family members shared their love and support for the model in the comments of the Instagram post, with Kitty's younger sister Amelia writing, “My perfect little Niece ??????,” confirming the sex of the new baby.
