How Celebs Are Celebrating Halloween With Their Kids
It’s Halloween Eve, and for 2024, it’s the most Halloween-y Halloween in so long. Not only did we have a Halloweekend last weekend, costumes and parties galore, but there’s still Halloween tomorrow and a second Halloweekend this upcoming weekend. With such a spooky season, celebrities are going all out, including celebrity families who are already celebrating in unique ways.
While most families will be trick-or-treating, quite a few celebrities are celebrating with their families in super cool ways such as matching costumes, Halloween photoshoots, and cool events.

Christina Ricci
Christina Ricci may not be the biggest Halloween fan, but this year will be major because it’ll be her daughter Cleo’s first time trick or treating.
In a rare interview with PEOPLE about her new Cat Full of Spiders tarot card deck, she said, “I’m not a huge fan of Halloween, but my youngest daughter, who’s only 2 years and 8 months, she happens to be just like preternaturally obsessed with all things Halloween.”
“So she’s going to have her first Halloween where she goes out dressed up,” the proud mom added. “It should be pretty fun. She’s very excited about it.”
Hilarie Burton & Jeffrey Dean Morgan
So Hilarie Burton is known as the “haunted house lady” in her neighborhood, and goes big for Halloween with her kids. “My favorite thing we’ve ever done is I got involved with my kid’s school,” she told PEOPLE. “There really wasn’t a town Halloween celebration, and so last year I put together a haunted house at my son’s middle school. Every parent brought a 10 x 10 pop-up tent and we put them all together to make a whole house of rooms.”
She added, “This year I have to make it bigger than last year. It’s a lot of pressure.”
Drew Scott & Linda Phan
Drew Scott and Linda Phan are all about the costumes, and they’re already going all out with their kids Parker and Piper.
In a rare interview with People, Scott revealed the first of their 2024 Halloween costumes, and it’s such a nostalgic idea: it’s the characters from Where the Wild Things Are.
“We had a little kids party this morning… Yeah. It was pretty fun,” Scott said to the outlet. “So we dressed up as Where the Wild Things Are. And so Piper and Parker are both Max and we’re Wild Things.”
He added, “Because they’re the bosses of us and so we did that this morning. We’re here tonight.”
Jennifer Love Hewitt
Jennifer Love Hewitt loves all the holidays and this year; she gave a hint about the Halloween tradition she’ll be continuing with her three kids. On Oct 30, she shared a video to her Instagram story, showing a Halloween tradition: where you let your kid trick or treat, enjoy some of the candy, and then leave the rest of their candy overnight for the “Switch Witch” to take it and give them toys instead!
Hewitt reposted this video, saying, “I do this every year with my kids! It’s amazing!”

Bachelor Nation alum Tanner Tolbert showed a sweet moment where his family of five posed for a Halloween-themed photoshoot, and it gave a glimpse into how they go big for Halloween.
Catherine, Princess of Wales
Catherine, Princess of Wales, and her three kids will be keeping it simple by trick or treating again this year, per the New York Post.
Shemar Moore & Jesiree Dizon
In case you missed it, on Oct 23, Shemar Moore and Jesiree Dizon shared a compilation video featuring him, her, Frankie, and Dizon’s daughter Charli having the best day ever at the pumpkin patch. He shared the heartwarming video to his Instagram with the caption, reading, “Happy Spooky Season FAM ????.”
In the video, we see Moore and Frankie holding hands, walking around the park together, with Frankie giggling so much throughout. We see the family jump around on the pumpkins and explore the patch, as well as Frankie running through a tube to her daddy, laughing as he holds her in his arms.
We also see that they’re going all out on the spooky fun as a family!

Keke Palmer’s son Leodis is having a ball of a time for Halloween season 2024. In an Instagram post, we see him dressing up as a dinosaur, and his mom Keke dressed up as a skeleton; truly having the best time for Halloweekend 1.

Ashlee Simpson Ross and Evan Ross have two things to celebrate: Halloween and their son Ziggy’s birthday. On Oct 29, Ashlee shared a compilation video showing Ziggy’s 4th birthday: a Halloween, pirate-themed party. She wrote, “Happy 4th Birthday to our amazing Ziggy!!!!! We love you so much!! You keep us all laughing, and dressing up!! I love you my silly, fun, cuddly boy ?? pirates forever.”
