Celebs' #ShareYourRejections stories will give you life
Feeling down on yourself? You’re about to feel a whole lot better. #ShareYourRejections was trending on Twitter, and celebrities jumped at the chance to share some of their worst rejections on the road to fame.
Super-successful writer and director Judd Apatow wasn’t always so successful.
In 1990 I sent out writing samples to every single sitcom on television & was rejected by every single show. In response I created The Ben Stiller Show with Ben & had an awesome job until we were canceled after 12 episodes. 6 months later won a writing Emmy. #ShareYourRejections https://t.co/OOM2E16k2H

Professional wrestler Dolph Ziggler slammed a wrestling organization that clearly had made the wrong decision.
#ShareYourRejection
I once tried out for a wrestling company & was told; although they appreciated my unmatched work ethic, attitude & willingness to do whatever it takes…
They’d rather take a chance on any random 6’5” guy, hoping he could be a star, 100 out of 100 times— Dolph Ziggler (@HEELZiggler) August 17, 2018
And Crazy Ex-Girlfriend star Rachel Bloom shared a demoralizing audition she’d had right before graduating from college.
Literally hours before I graduated from college, I auditioned for two theater managers that told me I wasn't ready for show business. Then, I went back to my dorm, put on my cap and gown and graduated. #ShareYourRejection

What can we learn from all this? Well, Rachel Bloom summed it up by saying that “art is hard and life is hard but the only way you can get better is to try your best and fail.”
In summation: art is hard and life is hard but the only way you can get better is to try your best and fail, try your best and fail, rinse and repeat. Success is never guaranteed, but what other option is there?
