Central Park: Apple TV+ Cancels Animated Sitcom After Three Seasons

According to Variety, Apple TV+ has officially decided not to renew its animated sitcom Central Park for a fourth season. This cancellation comes after over a year since the Josh Gad-led series had wrapped up its 13-episode third season.

Who was involved in Central Park?

Central Park was created and executive produced by Loren Bouchard, Gad, and Nora Smith (Bob’s Burgers). It also featured the voices of Leslie Odom Jr. (Hamilton), Titus Burgess (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Emmy Raver-Lampman (The Umbrella Academy), Stanley Tucci (Feud), Daveed Diggs (Hamilton), and Kathryn Hahn (WandaVision). Executive producers were Regina Hicks, Sanjay Shah and Halstead Sullivan, with Kevin Larsen producing.

The sitcom followed a family of caretakers, the Tillermans, who lives in the titular New York City locale. As park manager Owen and journalist Paige raise their kids, they must fend off hotel heiress Bitsy Brandenham and her long-suffering assistant, who would love nothing more than to turn the park into condos.

“In the last season, as Bitsy continues her relentless pursuit to buy the park, Owen embarks on a new promotional campaign to make more people fall in love with it, and Paige finds herself busier than ever when she lands her first book deal,” reads the logline.
