Chaka Khan, 'I'm Every Woman' singer, to headline at Indy Jazz Fest 2024
This year, Indy Jazz Fest will run from Sept. 17 to 28, featuring “I’m Every Woman” singer Chaka Khan and other jazz masters. Other headliners include the local Steve Allee Magic Hour Band and Marcus Miller.
Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming festival.
Where is Indy Jazz Fest?
Individual performances will be held at The Jazz Kitchen and The Cabaret. The Grand Finale will be held at Everwise Amphitheater at White River State Park.
When do Indy Jazz Fest tickets go on sale?
Tickets will be available at Indy Jazz Fest's website starting at 10 a.m. Friday, July 26. Individual tickets must be purchased for each performance and the finale. Prices vary by event and location.
Who’s playing at the Grand Finale?
Gates open at 3 p.m. on Sept. 28 and tickets start at $55.
Chaka Khan: Known for her song, “I’m Every Woman,” Khan has won 10 Grammy awards.
Marcus Miller: A bass player with a style that’s a combination of funk, groove and soul.
Michael Franks: A smooth jazz singer and one of the leaders of the “Quiet Storm” style of R&B music.
Steve Allee Magic Hour Band: A celebrated local group with Rob Dixon on saxophone, John Raymond on trumpet, Richard “Sleepy” Floyd on drums and Jon Wood on bass.
