‘Challengers’: Zendaya-Led Tennis Drama Gets Streaming Date At Prime Video
Challengers, Luca Guadagnino’s tennis romance drama starring Zendaya, Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor, will begin streaming on Prime Video on September 19, according to the Prime Video site.
The date was posted on Prime Video, with the note “Coming to Prime in 8 days”. (Prime Video dates sometimes shift by a day or two and are subject to change).

Challengers follows Tashi Duncan (Zendaya), a former tennis prodigy turned coach and a force of nature who makes no apologies for her game on and off the court. Married to a champion on a losing streak (Faist), Tashi’s strategy for her husband’s redemption takes a surprising turn when he must face off against the washed-up Patrick (O’Connor) – his former best friend and Tashi’s former boyfriend. The synopsis reads: As their pasts and presents collide, and tensions run high, Tashi must ask herself, what will it cost to win?
The film premiered in U.S. theaters on April 26, 2024 before moving to PVOD on May 17. It made its SVOD debut on MGM+ on July 29. The film has pulled in more than $94 million worldwide at the box office.
Guadagnino directed from a screenplay by Justin Kuritzkes.
Challengers is produced by Amy Pascal, Guadagnino, Zendaya, and Rachel O’Connor. Bernard Bellew serves as the film’s executive producer. Music is by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. The screenplay was written by Justin Kuritzkes.
