Channing Tatum's Legal Strategy in Divorce Court Might Involve Jenna Dewan's Fiancé
Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan’s divorce is continuing to be a contentious battle in court as the former couple try to navigate their financial dispute over the Magic Mike franchise. Now, it looks like Dewan’s fiancé Steve Kazee is getting dragged into the fight.
The court documents, obtained by In Touch Weekly, indicated that the 44-year-old actor has listed Kazee as a witness. Tatum’s legal team has questions about Dewan’s “cohabitation, joint expenses, and all related matters” with Kazee. “Mr. Kazee’s direct testimony is expected to last approximately one hour,” the legal papers stated. Dewan began dating the Broadway star in 2018 and they got engaged in February 2020. They share son Callum, 4, and Rhiannon, two months, and Dewan shares an 11-year-old daughter, Everly, with Tatum.

Kazee was already deposed during the discovery period, but now he’s being called as a witness during the trial. Earlier in August, Tatum tried to get the court to stop his ex-wife’s request for spousal support. He sounded frustrated in the court documents that Dewan continued “to delay resolution and provides one reason after another for why this case cannot settle.” The Blink Twice star wanted to “settle all issues in this matter without litigation.”
The Magic Mike franchise, which includes three moves, a stage musical, a reality TV series, and a Las Vegas show, is a big part of Tatum’s wealth. Much of his empire was built during his marriage to Dewan while they were living in the community property state of California. Dewan wants her fair share, but they don’t seem to be able to agree on the settlement amount. It also sounds like The Rookie star’s finances with Kazee are going to come into play since they’ve been together for six years.
Tatum is also looking to move on from his marriage to Dewan because he’s also engaged to actress Zo? Kravitz. A source shared with People in April, “Channing‘s not happy about the latest court drama. He wants it to be over.” It sounds like a messy court fight ahead with no end in sight.
