During her concerts, Roan would frequently give her mother, Kara Amstutz, a shout-out.

On TikTok, a fan posted a video of Roan singing to her mother while she performed on stage. Then, in another clip, Roan happily shared with her fans some dating advice her mom once gave her.

"You can't sleep with them until the third date. You can't wear red lipstick 'cause that means something,'" she said during one of her performances while imitating her mother.

"...And I'm just like, 'Mom, I love you. But it doesn't work like that when you're dating a girl.'"

On TikTok, fans commended Roan's relationship with her mother.

"I can’t imagine how happy it must make her to have her mom at her shows ??," one person said.

Another said, "Her mother must be choking back tears because I am ! She is magic ?."

A third added, "Me crying because her mom must be so proud watching her daughter grow into such an icon."

Roan also gave her mom a shout-out on Instagram. For Mother's Day 2023, she shared a few throwback photos of them together and captioned it, "Happy Mother’s Day to my sweet angel of a mother i love you so much."

Dwight Amstutz

Just like her mother, Roan also has a close relationship with her father.

In 2022, she thanked him for letting her bedazzle his dirt bike for a "Femininomenon" photo shoot she did in his backyard.

"Thank you to my sweet father who let me bedazzle his dirt bike. ??," she wrote. "Femininomenon has been so fun to create. I’m so grateful for my friends who once again helped me pull it off. Who flew all the way to Missouri to shoot in my parents’ backyard."

However, Roan has been open that her rise to fame has also been challenging for her parents.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Roan opened up about her sudden success. She revealed she was being stalked by someone who showed up to her parents' house unannounced and followed her to her hotel room. She also said there was once a time when someone had leaked her father's personal number.

“So now I have to have security,” she said. “It’s so lame."
