Charli XCX Drops Expanded ‘Brat’ Album With 3 New Songs
Charli XCX released an expanded version of Brat, which includes three new songs, on Sunday at midnight. The 15-song original arrived on Friday.
She announced the new version on social media a few hours ahead of the drop. “Brat and it’s the same but there’s three more songs so it’s not,” she captioned a post on Instagram. The expanded album, given the same title as her social media post, includes new tracks “Hello goodbye,” “Guess,” and “Spring breakers.”

The trio of tracks expands on the original album, which includes the songs “So I,” about her friend and collaborator Sophie, who died in 2021, and “Rewind,” about insecurities, alongside bangers like “360” and “Club Classics.”
“On her sixth album, Brat, she stays out later and goes harder than ever before,” reads Rolling Stone’s review of the LP. “And while she’s spinning around on the dance floor she’s also spiraling out in her head, digging deep into the types of insecurities and fears reserved for the comedown the morning after.”
In a Rolling Stone UK interview, Charli XCX explained the meaning behind the name of her sixth album. “It’s about this sort of behaviour that everybody adopts on the internet, whether you’re a Twitter troll or whether you’re dancing to Addison Rae on TikTok. There is this element of unabashed, shameless, Me-centric content that is being made, but I also think behind that is a lot of people who use that as a protective layer,” she said. “Brattiness is a cloak. You’re only a brat if you’re acting out against something that’s made you feel a little bit insecure.”
