Who is Charli XCX? Here's when the 'Brat' songstress is coming to Columbus
After taking a break from her "BRAT" summer tour, British pop singer Charli XCX will join forces with Australian singer-actor Troye Sivan to co-headline the "Sweat" tour, set to come to Nationwide Arena on Sept. 20.
Tickets for the double-bill concert start at $49.50 and can be purchased at ticketmaster.com.
Born Charlotte Aitchison, Charli XCX caught listeners' ears by posting songs on Myspace in 2008, leading to her discovery by a promoter who invited her to perform at warehouse raves.
The 31-year-old has enjoyed international success for "I Love It," her 2012 collaboration with Swedish duo Icona Pop and for providing the hook and bridge to Aussie rapper Iggy Azalea's Grammy-nominated 2014 hit, "Fancy."
In addition to writing songs for artists such as Selena Gomez, Blondie, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello, Charli XCX has scored hits including "Boom Clap," "Break the Rules" and "Doing It."
Charli XCX declares 'kamala IS brat': 'Brat summer' is upon us. What does that mean? Kamala Harris is game for it.
In what some are calling an endorsement of presidential candidate Kamala Harris, the vocalist declared in a July 21 post on X (formerly Twitter), "kamala IS brat," referencing not just the title of her sixth studio album and tour, but a cultural phenomenon among fans. The tweet received almost 9 million views in four hours.

In a TikTok interview, Charli XCX shared her definition of "Brat": “You are just that girl who is a little messy and maybe says dumb things sometimes, who feels herself but then also maybe has a breakdown but parties through it. It is honest, blunt and a little bit volatile. That’s Brat.”
She also told the BBC that a "brat" is someone genuine and self-possessed, with a rebellious streak.
The international leg of Charli XCX's "BRAT" tour will get underway in November with four dates in the U.K.
