Charli XCX Rounds Out a Brat Summer as Vogue Australia’s September 2024 Cover Star
You could say Christine Centenera has her finger on the pulse when it comes to enlisting Vogue Australia’s buzz-worthy cover stars. Subsequent to landing the top job at the Aussie fashion bible, Centenera has secured everyone from Kylie Minogue and Hailey Bieber to Victoria Beckham and Zendaya. Up next is Charli XCX, who has enjoyed a “brat summer” over recent months following the viral success of her sixth studio album: Brat. Centenera insisted upon the British singer-songwriter posing for photographer Amy Troost, for her second Vogue cover of 2024 as she become Australian Vogue‘s September cover star. Across a trio of dynamic covers, stylist Katelyn Gray dressed the 360 songstress in new season pieces from Rabanne, Burberry and Simone Rocha.
Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“My icon,” instantly declared Kimy Jo upon checking out the three covers.
“Oh, this is a must-buy,” enthused forum member crmsn.
“Charli XCX should’ve gotten British Vogue but we got Kylie Jenner instead,” voiced NicholasII.
Not everyone, however, was so sold out the end result. “Charli XCX is normally very photogenic but they made her look shorter here. The styling and photography is so 2010s,” Urban Stylin critiqued.
“What is this atrocity? It looks so trashy, I can not. The €2 dress and the s**tty pose. This is Vogue?” a disgruntled Bertrando3 asked.
“Not really feeling this, and don’t get me started with that ‘brat’ headline,” WAVES chimed in.
