Charli XCX to Star in Erotic Thriller With Olivia Wilde and Cooper Hoffman
This movie is about to be so Brat. On Friday, it was announced that Charli XCX will star in Gregg Araki’s erotic thriller film, I Want Your Sex, alongside Olivia Wilde and Cooper Hoffman.
No release date has been set, and there are no details about Charli’s role, though the film is expected to start production in October.

“How far is too far? When fresh-faced Elliot (Hoffman) lands an exciting job for a renowned artist, icon, and provocateur Erika Tracy (Wilde), his fantasies come true as Erika taps him to become her sexual muse,” read a synopsis of the film via Variety. “But Elliot soon finds himself out of his depth as Erika takes him on a journey more profound than he ever could have imagined, into a world of sex, obsession, power, betrayal and murder.”
Araki co-wrote the script for I Want Your Sex with Karley Sciortino. John Friedberg, Joanne Roberts Wiles, and Courtney L. Cunniff will serve as executive producers. “Featuring outrageous characters and a playful sense of humor, I Want Your Sex will upend expectations in a way that will both shock and delight,” added the synopsis.
Charli XCX is also set to star in Faces of Death, which is based on a 1978 film of the same name. (Barbie Ferriera, Dacre Montgomery, and Isa Mazzei are also in the film.)
I Want Your Sex and Faces of Death will be Charli’s first two feature film appearances, aside from voice roles. She voiced Willow in The Angry Birds Movie in 2016 and Kitty in UglyDolls in 2019. Charli’s last tie to a film was with Bottoms, which she worked on as a composer alongside Leo Birenberg.
