Charlie Chaplin film, Berlioz and more on Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra's new season

For its 2024-2025 season, the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra will perform programs that speak to contemporary conversations and celebrate classical works. The ensemble also will continue its tradition of playing the score alongside a silent film, and this year's choice is a 1925 Charlie Chaplin movie.

A few pieces explore the timely themes of homeland, solidarity and displacement. Other works throughout the season pay homage to the First Viennese School, which includes composers such as Mozart and Beethoven. Guest artists and soloists from within the ensemble will perform high-profile pieces as well.

Performances will be at Butler University's Schrott Center for the Arts unless otherwise noted. Season subscriptions are on sale, and more packages will be available starting July 1. Single tickets will go on sale Aug. 15. Buy tickets at icomusic.org.
