Chem Test: General Hospital’s Jordan and Isaiah
Fans of General Hospital‘s Jordan Ashford want many things for her. Near the top of the list is a love interest. Well, with the arrival of Dr. Isaiah Gannon, people are already wondering, “Will they or won’t they.” When the two met last week after Jordan saved his Isaiah’s life from one of Sidwell’s assassins, we were encouraged and hopeful that the relationship between these two could grow into something special.
THE CHEM TEST
The Meet Cute
While Jordan’s (Tanisha Harper) and Isaiah’s (Sawandi Wilson) meet-cute wasn’t exactly While You Were Sleeping-worthy, it was still pretty solid. Jordan knew nothing about the patient in the hospital. He was a mysterious John Doe who was still unconscious. But she took it upon herself to start digging for information on his identity. One day, she walked into his hospital room and ended up saving his life. Jordan relied on her police skills to apprehend an assassin working for Sidwell (Carlo Rota).

When John Doe finally woke up, he told everyone his name was Dr. Isaiah Gannon. After he learned a person named Jordan stopped a hit against his life, he wanted to thank the guy who came to his rescue. Meanwhile, the beautiful deputy mayor walked in, and it looked like all Isaiah could do was stare at Jordan.
The Chemistry
It was in the Thursday, September 12 episode of GH when Jordan walked in on Anna (Finola Hughes) and an awake Isaiah. The doctor instantly realized Jordan wasn’t a man. He felt slightly embarrassed, but the two quickly connected when they shook hands. The handshake lingered, and Jordan was startled or even blushed at how much Isaiah was staring at her.

Their conversation was fun as Jordan attempted to discover the patient’s story. Unfortunately, he wasn’t giving. Jordan gave up more information than he did during what turned out to be an adorable chat. However, it had to be a little frustrating for Jordan because Anna ultimately interrupted their conversation when she needed to pump Isaiah for information.
The Potential Obstacles
The path to love in soaps never goes smoothly, and we don’t expect this one to, despite the lingering handshake and their inability to stop staring. Something tells us that Isaiah isn’t going to fess up much about his past, present, or future very easily. In fact, it’ll be like pulling teeth if his and Jordan’s first conversation is any indication.
Is Lucky’s (Jonathan Jackson) medical friend related to the Llanview Gannons? If so, there’s a shady side to his family (namely, RJ), and Jordan mostly plays by the book. We could see their two worlds clashing. Plus, the transplant doctor already seems like he may have a bit of a Savior complex. So, he could be all work and no play — same as Jordan. Would the two find time for each other?

Finally, Jordan has these walls up, and she has major trust issues. After all, she has an ex-husband — in town — who left her because she kept police intel from him. She pined for him after they split. There was that one-night stand with Portia’s (Brook Kerr) brother, Zeke (Gavin Houston). Besides that, the only other guy Jordan has flirted with is Brick (Stephen A. Smith), and we’re hoping those two will remain in the friend zone permanently.
The Assessment
We think Deputy Mayor Jordan and Doctor Isaiah have plenty of soulmate potential. And we sincerely hope GH will let them develop even if it is a slow burn. Tanisha Harper and Sawandi Wilson look great together — at least from what we’ve seen thus far.
