Cher expected in Cleveland for Rock Hall induction ceremony

CLEVELAND (WJW) – Cher is coming to Cleveland, but not for a concert. She’s attending the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction this fall!

This announcement comes after a December interview with Kelly Clarkson, in which the pop icon was adamant she would not be there.

But just a couple of days ago, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Cher revealed she will be taking part in the ceremony after all.

She said her change of heart is due in part to the people she plans to thank in her speech.

“I can thank David Geffen, my friend and most wonderful person ever, and John Sikes,” Cher told ET. “I’m going to have some words to say. I’m going to accept it as me.”

Cher was one of ten nominees to appear on the ballot for the first time. The 2024 inductees include:

  • Mary J. Blige

  • Cher

  • Dave Matthews Band

  • Foreigner

  • Peter Frampton

  • Kool & The Gang
