Cher says 'no one is really safe' in Trump's America unless you're white

Cher is one of the many public figures outraged at the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the Trump administration’s partial ban on transgender people serving in the military to continue. And for the iconic singer, it’s personal. Cher’s son, Chaz Bono, transitioned nearly a decade ago.

The 72-year-old musician tweeted Tuesday that “No One Is Really Safe In trump’s America.”

Cher is an outspoken critic of President Trump — particularly on Twitter — and went off (again) on Wednesday about the government shutdown. She shared an article from the Washington Post about how the shutdown is impacting domestic violence shelters for women. “I Wish trump would Be Tared,Feathered,& Run Out Of DC On a Rail,” she added.

In another message, the “Believe” singer said that Trump is “destroying” America and “making us unsafe.”

“I DONT GIVE A FLYING [f***] ABOUT HIS WALL,WHO BLINKS 1ST, WHO WINS GAME OF [chicken],” she added. “COASTGUARD’S TOP ADMIRAL SAYS”THIS CANT GO ON”.FBI SAYS THERE WONT B MANPOWER 2KEEP US SAFE. DEMS,DOES A HOUSE HAVE 2 FALL ON UR SISTER,4 U 2 GET IT.(Wiz of Oz).”

Cher’s tweet follows up her plea to Nancy Pelosi earlier this month to end the shutdown — even if it means giving Trump money for his border wall.
