Childish Gambino announces new summer tour with Portland stop

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Childish Gambino, the multi-faceted writer, actor, director and rapper Donald Glover, announced his first tour since 2018 Monday morning and he’s making a stop in Portland.

Billed as The New World Tour, Childish Gambino will be traveling across the United States, Europe, Australia and New Zealand starting in August, featuring a show at the Moda Center on Sept. 24.

Joining Childish Gambino for the show will be another multi-talented artist, Willow, who just released her new album “empathogen.”

Famous works by French masters coming to Portland Art Museum

Childish Gambino also released a finished and polished version of his 2020 album “3.15.2020” on streaming services Monday, now titled “Atavista.” and he took to X to share that a new album would be coming out this summer.

Tickets for the tour go on sale on Friday on Ticketmaster.

Childish Gambino’s last tour was the “This is America Tour” in 2018
