Here’s How All My Children May Reboot…And It’s Not What You Think
Since The Powers That Be canceled ABC soap All My Children in 2011, fans have wanted it to return. It did briefly when Prospect Park rebooted online in 2013, but that didn’t last. For a while, it seemed Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos would move the daytime drama to primetime in the form of Pine Valley, but that never panned out. Finally, though, a long-awaited version of AMC could be coming your way, and it’s not what you think.
Pine Valley Lives Again
According to TV Line, the defunct soap may be revived as a series of television movies on Lifetime. At this time, though, all discussions are “exploratory.”
If AMC did reappear in this fashion, the network would likely feature characters from the beloved soap opera in a series of movies. It’s unclear if the movies would be set in Pine Valley or how that would work.
Characters from AMC have appeared on General Hospital in the past. Most recently, Walt Willey’s Jackson Montgomery showed up in Port Charles last year to provide his legal expertise.
If this idea comes to fruition on Lifetime and is successful, perhaps it would pave the way for other soaps to be revived this way. What soap opera characters would you enjoy seeing in a TV movie? Which AMC characters do you hope will return for movies like this? Let us know in the comments below.
