Collaborations between the two native sons are nothing new. For example, Owens appeared on Connor’s 2011 track “Everything,” a 2013 song called “This Time,” and a track from his 2012 mixtape While You Were Sleeping called “Standing in the Sun.” Check it out below:
Compton: A Soundtrack will stream exclusively on Apple Music from 6 to 9 p.m. (PT) on Thursday (Aug. 5) prior to its wide release on Friday. It’s inspired by the upcoming N.W.A film Straight Outta Compton, and is being hyped as Dr. Dre’s final album since the long-awaited Detox was permanently shelved.
Aside from Owens, the LP will feature more familiar Dr. Dre collaborators like Kendrick Lamar, Eminem and Ice Cube.
A rep from Owens’ camp has confirmed the collaboration to Billboard.
