The New Jersey native was recently named to Just For Laughs’ New Faces of Comedy Class of 2023. In September, her animated series DOHL’S was featured as part of Adult Swim’s Smalls shorts program:
Troast previously co-created and starred in the 2021 web-series The Basics, which featured SNL‘s Martin Herlihy, Ben Marshall and John Higgins. Later on, she was enlisted by the trio to appear in the movie Please Don’t Destroy: The Treasure of Foggy Mountain, which begins streaming Friday, Nov. 17 on Peacock. Additionally, she has a supporting role in the forthcoming Kiernan Shipka rom-com Sweethearts, which is awaiting a release date.
Troast is also no stranger to the New York comedy scene. She currently hosts Cherry, a weekly stand-up showcase at Public Hotel’s ArtSpace, with fellow comedians Auguste White and Moss Perricone. Since launching in April, Cherry has welcomed such guests as Hasan Minhaj, Rachel Sennott and SNL‘s Andrew Dismukes.
She also makes appearances at City Winery and The Slipper Room, where she regularly embodies an Old Hollywood character named Pepper Slit.
