Chris Evans Talks about THAT Scene in 'Deadpool & Wolverine'
By now, you've likely heard about the star-studded cameos in Deadpool & Wolverine. (If you haven't seen the movie yet, there are spoilers ahead!) Jennifer Garner, Wesley Snipes, Henry Cavill, and more superstars join Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in the Marvel movie, which is approaching the $1 billion mark at the box office.
One cameo in particular is making waves. Chris Evans, who portrays Captain America, went back to an earlier character for the new movie. In Deadpool & Wolverine, he reprises his role as Johnny Storm (aka Human Torch) from the Fantastic Four franchise.
Country Living talked to Chris about his dog Dodger and his partnership with Jinx, and he opened up about returning to the early-2000s role. He says, "Wasn't that so fun? I mean, that was just a treat. Ryan Reynolds has given me a couple great cameos, but this one was obviously special. I got to revisit a character that I love dearly...that I wasn't sure if I'd ever get to revisit because it's in the very capable hands of another actor now and I'm sure Joseph Quinn is going to be incredible."
Chris continued, "This was a fun way to play outside the boundaries and color outside the lines a bit. We had such a good time, and it was such a beautiful experience."
Joseph, most recognizable for his role as Eddie Munson in Stranger Things, will take over as Johnny Storm in the upcoming Fantastic Four: First Steps, due out in 2025.
