Chris Tucker Hilariously Displays Vocals With Faith Evans And Donnie McClurkin: Watch
Footage has surfaced of Chris Tucker, Donnie McClurkin, and Faith Evans from the 20th anniversary of Judge Mablen Ephriam’s annual Honoring Unsung Fathers Awards and Scholarship Banquet.
The affair, hosted by the Rush Hour star, took place on Father’s Day (June 18) at the Hilton Long Beach. After celebrating a series of patriarchs and young minds, Tucker and McClurkin broke out into a compelling, albeit hilarious, rendition of “Amazing Grace.”
“That’s all I know, so Donnie come get this mic,” joked the comedian after being handed the baton from the gospel powerhouse during the hymn’s first verse. Evans, with her distinct vocal ability, commanded the full attention of the room once she got hold of the mic from Tucker, singing, “I once was lost, but now I’m found/Was blind but now I see.”
The reactions to their impromptu performance were absolutely priceless. Tabitha Brown hopped in the comments of the video, shared on Tucker’s Instagram on Monday (Oct. 2), writing, “I love you” with a handful of laughing emojis as Michelle Williams replied, “You betta sang!!”
Meanwhile, a fan joked, “Get out them folks church foolin around with the Lord” and another chimed in, “That was Uncle Pastor Donnie, Evangelist Evans, and Deacon Tucker!!”
The famed comedian is currently in the midst of his Chris Tucker: The Legend Tour and is still teasing fans with the rumored Rush Hour 4 installment in honor of the original film’s 25th anniversary.
