Chrishell Stause Joins Fellow All My Children Alum Lacey Chabert in Netflix Holiday Rom-Com
All My Children and Days of Our Lives alum Chrishell Stause is set to star in a holiday rom-com called Hot Frosty. Lacey Chabert jumps from Hallmark to Netflix to lead the ensemble.
Hot Frosty News
According to Deadline, which first reported the news, the Hot Frosty ensemble will include actors from the worlds of holiday flicks, soaps, reality TV, and primetime comedies. Chrishell Stause (ex-Amdanda Dillon Martin), known to Netflix audiences as a key cast member of Selling Sunset, will costar with fellow AMC alums Lacey Chabert (ex-Bianca Montgomery) and Lauren Holly (ex-Julie Chandler).
The fantastical Hot Frosty is about what happens when a widow magically brings a handsome snowman to life. Through his na?veté, the snowman helps bring Cathy to life. He helps her to feel her feelings again, which in this case means to laugh and feel love again. Will the two fall for each other in time for the holidays and before he melts away?
The rest of the ensemble includes Craig Robinson from The Office, Dustin Milligan from Schitt’s Creek, Joe Lo Truglio from Brooklyn 99, and Katy Mixon from Mike & Molly. There is no word on what character Stause will play. But on her Instagram account, the actress/reality star posted the Deadline article said she’s “Excited about this! ??????.” DAYS alum Molly Burnett (Melanie Jonas) replied in the comments saying, “YASSSSS!!! idk what a hot frosty is, but now I want it ??????.”
Since leaving DAYS, where she played Ben’s psycho sister, Jordan Ridgeway, Stause has starred in TV movies and reality shows like Dancing with the Stars and Selling Sunset. An eighth season of the real estate reality docuseries will drop sometime in 2024.
Stause recently headlined a one-night-only event in London called Chrishell Stause: Up Close and Personal. According to Paper Magazine, the actress/TV personality had a “no-holds-barred chat” with two hosts. During the evening, she spoke about her time on soaps and her personal life. This includes discovering her sexuality with her partner, G Flip.
