Chrissy Teigen opted for flirty.
Fresh off the unveiling of her latest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover, model and television personality Chrissy Teigen traveled to the top of the Empire State Building. For the trip, Teigen chose a pair of polka dot pumps from Saint Laurent.
Teigen wore the shoes with a lace bralette top and Atelier Biser feathered shorts. Over that, she put an oversized denim blazer. The look was styled by Alana Van Deraa. At the Sports Illustrated launch she wore a pair of glittery sandals from Paris Texas. The strappy style was embellished with crystals.
Wife of musician John Legend, Teigen was on hand to help light up the Empire State Building in order to kick off JBL Fest. The event series, which spans three days, celebrates the launch of JBL’s PartyBox speakers.
About the shoes
Teigen’s footwear is the Saint Laurent Zoe pump. Made of silk, the shoe notably features white polka dots on black fabric.
The shoe is a stiletto pump with a thin, covered, 4-inch heel. It also features a pointed-toe and a low-cut vamp. The shoe was also Made in Italy. It is currently available for $845.
The pump stiletto silhouette was reportedly originated by Roger Vivier in 1954.
Chrissy Teigen’s shoe style
Teigen wears it all: from Ugg boots and Emme Parsons shearling slides to Saint Laurent pumps. Of them all, the model seems to prefer strappier, sandal-like styles. Whether they include a 6-inch heel and platform or are encrusted with pearls, she wears them all. For a Mother’s Day pop-up shop in Los Angeles this year, she wore a pair of yellow, strappy Bottega Veneta sandals.
Strappy styles first gained popularity in the 1990s and have notably been used by brands like Versace and Calvin Klein.
