Christina Aguilera’s Style Evolution: From Y2K-era Fashion Trends to Red Carpet Fixture
Christina Aguilera has long been a trendsetter, especially as her career reached meteoric levels in the early 2000s. The singer, who brought cut-out chaps into sharp focus with her music video for “Dirty” in 2001, embraced Y2K trends wholeheartedly, be it low-rise pants, micro skirts or chunky highlights.
Since her “Stripped” era, Aguilera’s style has evolved to include not only nods to the 2000s styles that helped make her a household name, but a diverse array of looks at events such as the Emblema 2024 Festival with vibrant Kim Shui designs, Las Vegas performances in sequin bodysuits and appearances on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” She graced the GLAAD Media Awards, wore a custom Zac Posen gown at the Latin Grammys, and made notable appearances at Paris Fashion Week and MTV, highlighting her continuous fashion evolution.
