Christina Hall and Josh Hall divorce: Reality stars remove Instagram mentions days after split is made public
Josh Hall's divorce seemed "sudden," according to insiders who know him and now estranged wife Christina Hall.
Christina Hall and Josh Hall are divorcing after nearly three years of marriage. The news surprised many fans since, just two weeks ago, the Christina on the Coast star spoke affectionately about her husband as she promoted their new real estate "flipping" show with Tarek and Heather El Moussa (including here with Yahoo Entertainment.)
Josh filed papers to end their marriage on July 16 and Christina quickly followed suit. This will be her third divorce. The real estate expert began deleting photos of Josh — including one very telling post — as the split seems off to a messy start. Here's what's going on.

In his divorce papers, Josh listed their date of separation as July 8, just one day before Christina's 41st birthday. He cited irreconcilable differences and is seeking spousal support.
"It certainly seemed sudden," one insider close to the pair told Yahoo shortly after the news broke. A second person reiterated that view.
While Josh's decision to file papers earlier this week may have seemed abrupt, an insider told People that the Halls have "had issues in the marriage for quite some time."
A rep for Christina did not respond to Yahoo's request for comment.

According to the HGTV star, the two separated on July 7. She asked the court to deny his request for spousal support and wants Josh to pay her attorney fees.
Christina began deleting photos of her estranged husband on social media, a move that was first noticed by media outlets on July 17. She deleted a picture dated July 2021 days after news broke about her and Josh's split that referred to "the price of fame." She was worried about dragging Josh into her public life.
"I met Josh when I wasn’t in a state of fear or fight-or-flight. ... When we met this past spring, the synchronicities hit us so hard and fast they were impossible to ignore," she wrote in the now deleted post. "I felt immediately crazy protective over him and wanted to keep him for myself and get to know each other before the tornado [media attention] hit."
Christina also deleted their wedding photo.
On Josh's Instagram account, mentions of Christina and her children had been removed from his bio. However, he still has photos of her up, including some PDA-filled snapshots.
??? One week before split, Christina spoke about their secret to a solid marriage
The reality star told E! News on July 2 that being communicative was part of her and Josh's strong foundation.
"Keep communication open," she said, "and then having alone time when we can, whether it's date night, going on little trips — just things like that."
When Christina spoke with Yahoo the same day, there was no sense anything was amiss as she excitedly talked about her and Josh's new house flipping show, The Flip Off. The HGTV competition series will see the two compete with her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his wife, Selling Sunset alum Heather Rae El Moussa. Christina told Yahoo they all "definitely" have a friendly relationship.
The Flip Off is set to premiere in early 2025. It's unclear if the show has finished production and a rep for HGTV did not respond to Yahoo's request for comment.
?? This will be Christina's third divorce — and she's used to drama
Christina and Tarek shocked fans when they announced they were splitting in 2016. The exes, who share daughter, Taylor, 13, and son, Brayden, 8, starred in Flip or Flop for several seasons. They've had a rocky co-parenting relationship, but are getting along now as they work together again.
In 2018, Christina married British TV host Ant Anstead, but they separated two years later. The two were locked in a heated custody battle over their son, Hudson, now 4. They ultimately settled before the case went to court. Anstead has since moved on with actress Renée Zellweger.
