Christina Hall Had This Reaction to Josh Hall’s ‘Outrageous’ Spousal Support Request Amid Divorce
Christina Hall is fighting mad over her estranged husband Josh Hall’s requests when it comes to their divorce. The couple split in July after less than three years of marriage, but without a prenuptial agreement, her ex is reportedly looking for a tidy sum to end their marriage.
The HGTV star’s legal team revealed the “good faith settlement offer” from Josh in her latest filing that was obtained by Us Weekly. Her lawyers claim that he asked for “$65,000 per month in spousal support from [Christina] on a 2-year, 9-month marriage.” Her attorney, Matthew S. DeArmey, slammed the proposal as “hardly good faith” on a “short-term marriage.” They described the financial ask as “outrageous” because Josh is “self-supporting.”

Christina believes that his spending habits point to a luxurious lifestyle already. “[Josh just paid over $70,000 to pay off the lease on [Christina’s separate property Bentley and so he has no need for spousal support from [her],” the documents state. Of course, Josh’s team denies the $65,000 spousal support claim, calling it “false.” However, he is trying to block the sale of her $4.5 million Tennessee home that was featured in her series, Christina in the Country. Even though the home is in her name only, he believes that it is a part of their marital property.
The Flip Off star also took to her Instagram Story to share her feelings about her ex. On Oct. 3 she wrote, “Time to go back to reality soon… Remember when you said you would never steal from me, or my kids and you would just be happy in a van with your dog? I guess plans changed ??.” Christina continued, “All about trying to take everything you can… With your mind on my money and my money on your mind… ????. Byeeee???”
Her slams against Josh are a stark contrast to just three years ago when she gushed about her then-fiancé to People. “I’m happier than I thought was possible,” she praised him in 2021. “I’ve changed in a way where I feel like I’m the best version of myself and the most authentic. Everything with us is real and raw. We are on the same page with the same outlook on life. I love that Josh is a well-balanced man. He is a man who takes care of his woman and family and can handle anything that is thrown at him without letting it get to him.”
That love and happiness were only a temporary situation as Christina and Josh now battle their short-lived union in court.
