Christina Hall & Husband Josh's Divorce Documents Suggest a Messy Split Might Be Ahead
Christina Hall and her husband, Josh, have split and their competing divorce filings are already revealing details about their break up. On Tuesday, July 16, TMZ was first to report that the couple had both filed for divorce in competing filings, bringing their marriage to a close after two years.
In a rather pointed move, Josh’s filing listed the couple’s date of separation as July 8 — just one day before Christina’s 41st birthday. Josh cited “irreconcilable” as the reason for his and Christina’s divorce.

In the filing, Josh reportedly requested alimony from the famous real estate investor but asked the court to block her ability to collect from him. He is asking the court to divide their assets based on what they each owned before they got married. In another potentially contentious move, he also reportedly requested that he be granted all rights to any HGTV and/or Discovery Network shows or specials they produced during their marriage. The couple do not appear to have a prenup and don’t share children.
Josh is set to make his star alongside his now-estranged wife in the latest season of her show, Christina On The Coast, and will also play a role in her next project, The Flip Off, which will see the now-former couple go toe-to-toe with Christina’s ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his wife Heather Rae.
However, it seems Christina might be ready to battle it out because TMZ reports that the star also filed at an Orange County courthouse on Monday but her filing has not been processed yet.
The shock split comes just days after Christina opened up about the secret to her marriage with Josh. “Keep communication open,” she told E! News in an interview published on July 13, “and then having alone time when we can, whether it’s date night, going on little trips—just things like that.”
However, she also admitted to Us Weekly on July 8 that it’s not easy working with Josh on her shows, saying: “It is challenging to work with your spouse, especially if they’re not used to being on TV.”
In April 2022, Christina and Josh revealed that they secretly married “sometime in the last six months” before they hosted a lavish wedding ceremony in September 2022, a year after they began dating in March 2021. According to their divorce filing they first married on October 16, 2021.
Prior to meeting Josh, Christina was married to her Flip or Flop co-host Tarek El Moussa from 2009 until 2018. They share daughter Taylor, 13, and son Brayden, 8. El Moussa married Selling Sunset star Heather Rae in 2021 and they share 1-year-old son, Tristan.
In December 2018, Christina married British TV host Ant Anstead before welcoming their son Hudson, 4, in September 2019. They separated in November 2020 and finalized their divorce in June 2021.
